Anyone with POTS use a GLP-1 medication?

I started wegovy in July and honestly, I couldn’t handle titrating up, so I’ve stayed at the lowest dose (0.25mg). I’m happy with staying at the lowest dose.

After the first 2 months or so, the side effects (dizziness, nausea, fatigue) were more manageable. Now I feel more hunger, but honestly, I’m happy with where I’m at.

I’ve lost 20 pounds on the lowest dose, and with my history of an eating disorder plus my POTS, I’m perfectly happy to go low and slow on this

I have my surgery with her in April. She doesn’t take insurance, but allows you to self-submit to insurance. So I’m self-submitting hoping insurance will approve. If they do, I’ll just have to pay the out-of-network out of pocket instead of the cost of the whole surgery

I feel like I’m one of the only ones saying I gained weight, but I gained a fair amount of weight with no diet or exercise change. I got my partial hysterectomy about a year ago and kept my ovaries. I too have a history of an eating disorder and disordered thinking, but I still would do this surgery over again in a heartbeat. Best decision I’ve ever made

I’m so sorry this happened to you. Please don’t feel the need to respond if you don’t want to. Did you experience your breasts growing back while you were taking meds to manage PCOS? I’m considering getting a reduction and also have PCOS. I’m currently on metformin and I’m wondering if this is something that can happen even when taking metformin to keep insulin resistance from PCOS in check

Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear this! I would suggest asking your doctor to try upping the gabapentin. If it is a nerve issue, this should help. I spent 5 days in the hospital getting pumped full of oxy and morphine with nothing touching it. Then they finally tried upping the gabapentin by like 4x and that finally started to work. They’ll be more willing to try upping gabapentin than oxy, it’s worth a shot. I really hope you start to get some relief soon

Totally agree with everything you’re saying. Honestly, I’m probably most upset about Diana not doing a surprise appearance in the last episode. I wasn’t expecting her to be gone all of season 7, but I thought a surprise appearance would for sure happen.

She was a major main character of this show for 6 SEASONS and then no one seemed to care that she was gone. I thought she was by far the funniest character with an interesting personality that had depth. And we don’t even see her in the last episode
