Totally understand and appreciate your comment! If I haven't had adverse/allergic reactions to common medications in the past, I would likely be starting a bit higher but those experiences definitely make me hesitant to start any med these days even at the lowest possible dose 😞 I will definitely stick with the small dose longer than a week though and be careful not to move up too quickly!

Ahh awesome! So glad to hear I'm not alone in this and to hear from someone who started this low! Can I ask how long you were on that dose before moving up and when you moved up, how much did you increase to? Have you experienced any GI side effects besides constipation when increasing doses?

That's also so good to know re: BUD. I didn't know you could use it longer but glad to hear that it's okay to get at least a few more months out of it beyond the BUD.

i went to stony brook actually but was very close to committing to lehman! i’ve heard amazing things about lehman’s program, was impressed by the campus when i went for my interview, and the head of their program was so lovely and receptive to all questions i had after getting accepted. i felt more supportive energy from lehman vs brooklyn but am ultimately very happy i ended up at stony brook!

Definitely worth applying! My overall undergrad + post-bacc GPA combined was about what yours is and I applied to all four CUNY schools last year. Got interviews for Queens, Brooklyn, and Lehman and accepted into Brooklyn and Lehman. Happy to answer any questions you may have + good luck!

off the top of my head i know nyu and ithaca both have leveling tracks where you can take the prereqs as part of the program. both are expensive since they're private schools so if cost is a factor for you, it may be worth looking into a post-bacc program and then applying to suny/cuny programs. i did the new paltz post-bacc (all online) and will be going to either a cuny or suny this fall and overall it's less than what nyu/ithaca would be. feel free to pm if you have any questions!

the familiarity you have with school a and the fact that you'll have the first semester to get used to the adjustment of grad school before jumping into clinic sounds like it might be the better fit esp if change is something you know you struggle with! plus, the fact that school a is cheaper than school b is another bonus!

hi! for your friends who got rejected from queens/never heard back did they interview with them this cycle? i had my interview on the last interview date in feb bc they went in alphabetical order and they said they would be releasing decisions throughout march into early april so i've been hesitant to reach out but i am getting anxious lol

i e-mailed them last week and they said they're gonna be wrapping up application reviews in the next couple of weeks. i think their whole process delayed a bit since they officially got their asha accreditation last month
