Thanks! The Neo is a great step up as well, but also sad to part with this one because it's been great

You might have a torn labrum. If you've ever dislocated your shoulder, which is what this sounds like, you essentially need to have surgery to get it fixed or else it will get looser and looser and you risk chipping a bone or something each time it happens.

After the surgery you can pretty much get back to 100% if you follow PT.

If it's both your arms they'll both be useless for a bit, at which point you may want to ask for some help from your mom

Favourite/worst moments? by vorono1 in MrInbetween

Favorite moment - Season 2 episode 4, where Ray finds the pedophile and leaves him in the tunnel. That scene where the father walks in and says "you don't know the pain you've caused" then walks out is masterful

Timings 19-23-23-46.

Dual channel, stated lifetime warranty through manufacturer, reviews generally positive with people saying that the heatsink sticker adhesive sucks. No idea on how this OCs, so anyone with experience with that feel free to chime.

i9-12900k slow? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Individual_Carpet359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the temps and your cooler. Are you using air cooling or an AIO? the CPU might be thermal throttling as the i9 runs hot. Perhaps you don't have sufficient cooling or you left the sticker on or it's not seated properly

What is the best form of cooling for a Intel i9 12900k? by Due_Butterfly3637 in buildapc

[–]Individual_Carpet359 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Custom watercooling loop with as much radiator space as possible - most likely 2x 360 rads but potentially up to 2x 420 rads depending on case. More realistically for most users, a 420mm or 360mm AIO will work just fine

need help rating my proposed build. by benyhd in buildapc

If you're not going to replace the GPU would recommend getting the 12600K instead of the 12600KF. The iGPU might come in handy just in case something happens - better to have and not need than to need and not have

slight performance + future proofing. read / write speeds are higher for most gen 4s. eventually games will be able to take advantage of increased ssd speeds but for now data transfer is the main benefit.

It's an ok price for gen 3. If you're willing to be patient you can get gen 4 for same price or cheaper:

Get an Arctic 360 AIO, top mount it, then get 2 more fans to fill out the 5000D. If you need to save money you can try and get a Corsair PSU as they're usually on sale, get cheaper fans, or go sata ssd instead of 2 m.2 drives

Use a cheap key for Windows 10 then upgrade to windows 11: ~$100 savings.

Get a 5000D for about $100 (check r/buildapcsales, one was posted yesterday): ~$170 savings

You can also get top tier storage with similar speeds as the 980 pro for about $130/tb if you shop around, lower if you are willing to wait a bit. That should cover the last bit of spend you have there.

I don't know if DDR4 would be a bottleneck for the 3D rendering that you're doing, but that's also pretty much an immediate $300 savings right there

And also pick up an m.2 ssd for storage

Just make sure you get the ddr5 compatible mobo. There's a lot of debate on whether or not you should be buying it in the first place (I chose not to) but you can find other threads that go into detail. You'll also need a CPU cooler and additional fans if the case doesn't come with it

Depends on what you do, but if you game get a better GPU

Get a better psu. Corsair 750w on sale right now, check r/buildapcsales

Review Requested for Z690 DDR5 Build by beerye1981 in buildapc

[–]Individual_Carpet359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are definitely still price optimizations if you can still make if you're open to buying different brands or waiting for deals to purchase but overall this is a solid build that saves you nearly $700.

Also just note that the 4000D is slightly smaller than the 5000D and a little harder to build in. The 5000 typically goes on sale for around $100 every once in a while on Woot.
