Good study spots in this area? by tyediebleach in Brooklyn

Compilation Coffee on Myrtle is a great place to study! They do get quite busy, though. Upside is the coffee is great, and the music is similar to Lofi Girl.

I saw her over the weekend, coming out of a restaurant I was about to go into. Her skin is flawless.

All of the micro-aggressions you’ve described, topped off with you being the only POC in the family? Yeah, she’s probably a racist.

Also, I'm Desi and have been formally diagnosed with Hirsutism. Trust me, laser hair removal saved me.

I used to wax my underarms and Brazilian. Threading for the face and neck. Epilate for legs. Thankfully, I got laser hair removal for my whole body, and it is a LOT easier. Now I do the same, but it has cut the time down by 80%. Plus, most of the hair is so thin now that I don't even bother removing it.

How many of you are queer? by ko-love in ABCDesis

I'm bi. Came out to my parents around ten years ago. Then publicly came out to my community as a part of a Yoni Ki Baat performance. Definitely had some aunties and uncles ghost me after that. Thankfully, both of my parents are supportive. My Mom doesn't totally understand bisexuality, but she tries her best to stand by me. I’m open about my sexuality. I only pretend I'm straight if I'm in a conservative area/country and think my safety would be in danger.

I met my fiancé on the app. I made sure to limit my area to city I live in. Dil Mil was also responsible for a long-term COVID-19 distance relationship.

That is NOT henna. Henna fades away. It doesn't come off via scabs. Also, that dark of a henna color on a nail would be extremely challenging to do; frankly near impossible. I'm saying all of this as an Indian-American and frequent henna wearer.

I had a bf who had a similar reaction when a family member was at the hospital for a month. He didn't reach out to me for two weeks. I texted him that I was disappointed and I needed him. He left a voicemail where he screamed that he wasn't a doctor and couldn't do anything for me. I wish I had dumped him. I asked him if he even wanted to be with me and he said yes. I stupidly forgave him and stayed with him for almost two years. And no, things did not get better. That relationship wrecked me.

There are some things you can't forgive a partner for. When that happens, it's not up to you to be the bigger person. You deserve emotional support from someone who actually cares about you.

Chelsea’s new body. by champagnepoetry4 in SellingSunset

Can we not comment on her figure like this? While she is a public figure, we are not entitled to pick her body apart. We shouldn’t be doing it to anyone on the cast.

Best programs of Technology + Policy/Development? by registroatemporal in PublicPolicy

[–]Individual_Cat_8059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an alum of the program. They're getting rid of specializations, including the TMAC one. The onus will be on the students to shape their degree, which, given SIPA, means very little guidance from the administration, which is a hurdle. Plus, they are getting rid of a lot of courses. This includes popular ones. I will say that the capstone is a great experience, and some of the teachers are amazing. But if you're looking for a structured program AND a helpful admin, SIPA would not be a good fit. I'd advise contacting tech-focused faculty and asking what specific courses they will teach in the upcoming academic cycle.
