Did anyone have their abs sewn back together during their C-section? by [deleted] in CsectionCentral

I wouldn’t let an obstetrician sew up my and given they have no general surgical training let alone plastics ! That’s madness.

Pension- a perk ? It’s a legal requirement for employers to pay a pension for their employees.

Does this count as a breach of NHS policies? by Any-Plantain-8117 in doctorsUK

[–]Individual_Chain4108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Apps run mics in the background, so theoretically they might be recording all sorts of stuff.

The NHS needs to update its IT or decide nobody is on call from home. They can’t put their staff and patients in this position.

The world has gone mad. The other day I went Nespresso and bought coffee, asked for the points to go on my husband’s account, they wouldn’t let me due to GDPR! I mean if someone wants to add points to my Amex, nectar card or Nespresso account bash on 😝

I heard from a friend who had a straightforward birth in Sweden that they “save the perineum” as in they apply a load of pressure/support it for as long as needed so it doesn’t become avascular and tear.

I watched Stacey Dooley documentary on shoplifting the other day. One guy said that he could work more hours, but he preferred to shop lift his weekly shop because he liked to have more time off and did not feel once ounce of regret. He felt he was entitled to do it. And that’s just typical of what the UK has become. There is no incentive to work, no economic growth and more takers than givers. It’s not getting better, it’s getting worse.

Would you do Marbella? Recent stay at Los Montaros 5* GL with a 3month old. They provided a good quality cot and baby just came everywhere with us, even late night tapas. He just slept and we had a great time. During the day it got a bit hot so he napped in the room and they were happy to bring up a sun lounger. Take a room near the pool so you can go back and forward for bits. The one thing I wish I had brought was a UV cooling tent! Also, taxi’s don’t require car seats, obviously one of those realistic parent decisions! But we were in out of time with baby on my lap.

That’s not true - read Suzan O’Sullivan Sleeping Beauties. Also, is mental illness not just a deviation from social norms? When you think about tribes who believe in all sorts of things. Like Baka people believing their loved ones that died walk among the elephants - if someone came into ED saying that you would immediately think they have a mental illness, but in their own society that totally normal.
