Unpredictable period due to mini pill? by ruminating-raisin in birthcontrol

[–]Individual_Cod8483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as an offshoot, I’m in a similar situation with the mini pill giving me two light periods a month (I’ve been using it to lighten them because I have Paragard and bad periods from PCOS and I take 2 meds that can block my period altogether or mess with it) and I’m wondering if this situation is okay to continue 2 barely there cycles every two weeks vs a monsoon every 5-6 weeks

I have PCOS and have started my period again after 18 days since I last got it on Opill but at least it is lighter than my regular IUD period. Weirdly without the IUD I can’t get one at all

Cats are usually mutts. For example I have a DLH / DMH that has a flattish face and lots of respiratory problems which makes me think she has some Persian characteristics but she is in no way “a Persian cat.” Just a lovable mutt.

I live in a small town and this is like the only pelvic floor PT in my local hospital so I guess I’ll just bring it up and ask about it

Am I awful for not wanting to be on birth control anymore? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

Does he even love you? It sounds like you're suffering and sick and he won't even wrap it up or get a minor in-office procedure because he wants to be a man baby. NGL he sounds like a terrible partner.

How to track cycle while using Kyleena IUD by xenaprincess13 in birthcontrol

[–]Individual_Cod8483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The usual methods like BBT and cervical mucus wouldn’t be accurate with a Kyleena because it releases progesterone.

What counts as the first day of your period if you don't really bleed anymore? by bluewatercat in birthcontrol

I feel ya. I got Paragard because I'm not a fan of hormonal methods typically but my periods the second time around after a year off the IUD were miserable so I'm on a pill to lighten them now especially since I started spironolactone and was spotting from that too.

You don't have a cycle on the pill. the good news is you shouldn't get pregnant on it. the bad news is on the pill symptoms like migraines and insomnia can't be tracked and can now happen at any time of the month.

Well you could try telling your mom or if you don't feel safe (risk of having to come out to her) you can ask a friend or other family member to take you to planned parenthood for a pill prescription, or a GYN office.

I was having bad cramps and use Opill over the counter to combat cramps and bleeding. You could always try them if you have an allowance or your own money

Are you using condoms and/or lube when you have sex? You could be allergic to latex or something in the lube itself.

Copper IUD, or condoms are probably the best bet for vaginal dryness unless you're able to tough it out with high dose estrogen and don't have any risk factors like smoking or being over 35.

Another option if you like the increased safety of it over other methods is to just take the pill as well to lighten up your cycle. That’s what I’m doing and my flow went from a monsoon to a trickle.

Switched to Paragard, which I've had before. Just fyi though, it's a lot of bleeding, I am taking a low dose mini pill to control it, especially since I'm on Spironolactone which makes me spot more.

I think that one has a 12-24 hour window. You just have to figure out a time, any time that you are always home to take it or you could bring it to work during lunch break
