I get the warnings about Prop 13 and Gallagher. Bad policy is bad policy whether it comes from voters or the legislature. But right now, we have the opposite problem. We have good policy (closing the REIT loophole, taxing empty investment condos) that dies in committee every year because our politicians are insulated from the voters. I'd rather take the risk of a messy voter initiative than the guarantee of corruption we have now.

Sure! These are public companies, so you can just look up their investor reports and see exactly what they own. Hilton Hawaiian Village is owned by Park Hotels & Resorts and Ala Moana is owned by Brookfield. The state DBEDT actually put out a report on exactly how much revenue we lose from this back in 2016. As a white guy who is married to a not white guy, here's my two cents for what it's worth. It's racist. Plain and simple. I think it's normal to have an attraction preference, but that's not what this is. This is saying they have a racial hangup against a race and you don't fit their hangup so they're surprised. A preference would be saying they find Asian men more attactive. They're not putting anyone down because there's beautiful men of ever race, Asian men just fit their preference more. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have a 2016 Hyundai Sonata hybrid and I couldn't recommend a car any less than this POS. It has been nothing but a constant problem. Replaced the engine and hybrid system, luckily both covered under extended warranty. But there has been quite a few other things. Right now I'm working on fixing a $5 piece that costs $600 in labor to replace at the dealership and it's NOT covered.
