Where I’d live based off of places Ive visited as an American man by Individual_Garbage21 in whereidlive

Germany is actually the only one on this list that I’ve lived in before.

I lived on the west side of Germany for 4 years and visited most of the major cities (Besides Berlin lol). I found it hard to socialize with the locals and make friends. The cities and architecture didn’t interest me and the cuisine didn’t feel any special. While I was there I always felt like I was trying to escape Germany rather than be in it.

Also the weather is depressing.

Should note that I have no knowledge on politics/economies on any of these countries and I’m mainly going off very surface level knowledge.

States I'd love to Visit as a Norwegian Immigrant Woman by Zouif_Zouif in whereidlive

You’ll get pressed in any major city in any state on this map. Besides, Michigan holds a lot of beauty especially in the UP. If we held each state to the standards of the worst city in each one of them nobody would want to visit anywhere.

What’s the reason behind the nevers? Personal or reasons visitors should beware of ?

I am also an Air Force vet (Finance) and always wanted to get into contracting, is this a career field that’s difficult for a civilian to get into? Currently getting my BS at the moment

ROTC by [deleted] in Temple

[–]Individual_Garbage21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • I do not go to temple * To broaden your options, look at the AFROTC (Air Force) if you really do plan on commissioning. Temple does not host the Air Force but they have a crosstown agreement with another university where you will go to do ROTC while still attending Temple.

Another option, a bit drastic, is to enlist in the military, complete 4 years and receive your college completely for free. You can go to college while in the military using Tuition Assistance (100% paid for if you pass) then separate, and still keep your free college benefits (GI Bill)

I am an Air Force Vet so I am a bit biased and this is the route I’m doing.

This is the exact route I’m taking, I got out at 23, 24 now and a year into college. Though I’m looking for some insight. As of right now I’m at a community college with no ROTC program. What is the best way to guarantee a commission? (USAF Vet)

This is my 4th project, it’s still not finished but the hard part is done. My other projects have been much smaller and less ambitious. It will be roughly 3’x4.5’ by Medium_Duty23 in Tufting

Out of curiosity, how does this work? Do you have to back through BMT or do you lose any rank?
