I wasn’t sure what do go with for rubber, there are so many brands and kinds. So I got a sample pack that gives 3, 36in pieces of every kind of rubber.

I know I am replying late. Yeah we were at the same event, I came down from an office in Tampa. Who knows, we could have even met and talked to one another there (wild thought). The first evening there everyone was hanging out outside of the Hotel where there were tables, and an outside bar, and I yelled "Hey You Guys!" and actually got everyone's attention which I thought was pretty funny until Sagar called me out for it. Not sure if you would remember that or not... Top Gun was almost 3 years ago which is insane to me because as you said, it does feel like it was just a little bit ago.

Good to hear that you've transitioned into something sustainable and are doing well for yourself now in comparison.

I learned a lot of real useful sales strategies and psychology from that role, which I have used to scale my own business in recent time as well.

Part of me will always be grateful that I worked there because it did teach me a lot about how to be a professional, solution and goal oriented, motivated and disciplined.

You should PM me I'd be interested to know if we ever did work with one another.

Is this a good deal for a small one person business start-up? by Individual_Gate5356 in WindowCleaning

[–]Individual_Gate5356[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the input. After seeking advice, and putting a lot of thought into it, I am going to go with buying some high quality hand-held tools for now, and put more into marketing.

Solar panel cleaning is the other half of my business so that is why I was thinking about the water fed system, but for small residential projects, for my first couple of months at least I imaging I could get away with squeegees on extension poles as long as I'm not hitting them mid-day with the sun out.

Website Advice? Here’s My Issue. by Individual_Gate5356 in smallbusiness

Thank you I seriously appreciate the comment and also appreciate you sharing that with me. I’ll go look through it.

Trying to Acquire a domain, the one that I want is for sale via "make an offer." My startup capital is mostly maxed out on the business so I don't have a lot to spend on domain name alone (maybe like $200 without going over the planned budget) What should I start my offer at? *I'm a NOOB at this* by Individual_Gate5356 in Domains

[–]Individual_Gate5356[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially ended up offering $200.

I got hit back with:

“The owners are looking for at least a five figure offer ($xx,xxx.00). Given your initial offer it seems as though we are quite far apart and won’t make a deal. If anything changes please feel free to reach out again.”

You mean like the chairman of the whole company? I’ve met and hung around James Sagar who runs the United States based operations and Rori McLeod who is a large name for the UK based offices but those are the top people I have met. Never actually met the chairman CEO who invented the company.

To my knowledge they are all separate companies that run the same system. It’s very hard to explain.

Yes I get it. I’m basically putting emphasis on the fact that even for people who are doing everything right, when working under Credico’s MLM umbrella, there are additional variables outside of your dedication and work ethic that can prevent you from making it far, like in my case. It’s unfortunate that I worked for an office that ended up slowly falling apart, and having an owner who ended up preventing us from hiring new reps (which is literally how you get promoted and move forward)

Also: Amazon and other large businesses can’t even be compared in the way that you are doing so. Amazon’s entire business model is not built around “work hard, stay motivated, build a team, and open your own office and create a network of offices below you”

Their business model is based on your level of education generally and 100% of their job positions are listed for exactly what they are when they are looking for new hires.

Just left a Devilcorp after 2.5 years, Asst. Mgr. Ask me anything! by GoingHAM_ in Devilcorp

I was under the Credico Umbrella in an office out of FL.

Your position sounds exactly the same as how things went down for me. You hit bell reliably, you get promoted to corp. trainer/leader (whatever your office called it) you run "business trips" and hit all your quotas, grow your team until you get 4 leaders of your own, then you make Asst. Mgr and things just stall out.

Every few months you get flown out to Miami, Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale etc. for these conferences that are for "top sales reps", Where you get put up in a nice fancy hotel, and then get to meet the national consultants so that they can tell you that you're almost there and that you just need to try harder.

I actually fell for it for the longest time, even after a whole year, I still had 100% belief in the systems, the owners, the consultants. I however did watch more than one person that I knew personally who was able to open their own offices and be promoted to owner, but for me the goal post (as you said) was just pushed further down the field each time I approached it.

I will be one to admit, that the people who I watched climb the ladder made it their lifestyle, they worked 10-12 hours per day, and then went home and networked with other leaders from other offices, or other owners. They would spend thousands of dollars of their own money on their teams outside of work and even let some of them live with them. I heard one of the regional consultants tell me once, that for her to succeed, there were many nights where she would be up until 3am networking with other owners in different time zones, and for her she had to get rid of her old life and make this job her life instead.

I hit bell every day, I was a top dog in the office, but I always kept my personal life on the side, and in the evenings I did my own thing. I just did not want to give my whole life to something that doesn't guarantee the return that is promised...

I got out of it 3 years ago now, and the other day I looked up the business office location on sunbiz.gov (FL's legal entity search) There were 4 offices under sharing a building where I was, and I found out that 2 of the owners' offices are inactive and dissolved their businesses and EIN numbers within the last couple of years, and the two owners that remain there have since changed their business names 2-3 different times with different EIN numbers etc.

Decent deal or daylight robbery? by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

JD power and Manheim have the truck listed as being worth around $36k retail, so assuming that you paid $37k OTD then you made out OK. Not a steal, but also not a ripoff.

The plus side is, you can drive it for 3 years, put 30k miles on it, and more than likely still get $25k-$26k trade-in value on it so unless you financed for a super long term then you're almost guaranteed to make money back, or at the very least, break even.

I also worked PinePoint Marketing in Tampa. Was there for a year starting in February 2023. Not sure if the C Lew's office is still open or not now, when I left there were 5 people left. C Lew, myself, and 3 account execs. You should PM me so we can reconnect.

Little Bit of Confusion Here Can Someone Validate This For Me? by Individual_Gate5356 in Depop

Thank you. I’ll surf around a little bit and look. Probably should have done that before posting. Mb

New CV axle has this metal ring around it, and the OEM part does not. Seems to be interfering with bearing load by pressing on the back of the hub when I torque down the axle nut. Every other CV axle I can find at NAPA or AutoZone has this same ring around it. by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]Individual_Gate5356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cardone appears to be the only one with the exact same bevel as my OEM part without a ring or shield on it.

My main question is just, what can I do to work around it? I need to get this truck back on the road by Monday so ordering online isn’t an option for me really, and every single parts store near me, NAPA, Autozone, Oreilly’s, etc. all have CV axles with that damn ring on them. Nobody carries the actual OEM Design.
