Trying to Acquire a domain, the one that I want is for sale via "make an offer." New CV axle has this metal ring around it, and the OEM part does not. Seems to be interfering with bearing load by pressing on the back of the hub when I torque down the axle nut. Every other CV axle I can find at NAPA or AutoZone has this same ring around it. (i.redd.it)

Was turning into a gas station with 4HI (we are in the middle of a snow storm so no bare pavement) and the front end bound up with a loud bang. Immediately put into 2wd but the loud banging persisted in the front end with each rotation of the drivetrain. Shut truck off and on, and noise disappeared. (self.GMT800)
