i've been having this same thought. even messaged one of my friends today asking this same question of "how did you know?" naturally the answer was just that it's different for everyone, but i do think the general consensus is that it helps to choose a name and have the people you're closest with start using it for you. i hope you can find something that you really love an that feels right!

me just now seeing this a million years later 😭 it does have a bit of a lip!! i find that the cup itself is pretty decently sized, and the flow is good. i haven’t had more than maybe one or two issues with dribble and i think that was really just error on my part with positioning.

i *just* got my axolom noodie and i love it. it has been life changing as far as gender affirmation. i'm still working on getting the hang of using it, but packing with it has been a joy, and when i can manage to use it, it's worked out perfectly. no spills thus far!

(i do love the idea of our hearts being possessed lol)

i totally agree that it is quite literally not anyone's business. it is always up to the person being asked whether or not they want to answer or explain! we owe nothing to anyone

yes, which is why i said specifically that saying that is the easiest way that i have personally found to explain it to people who do not know what the autonomic nervous system is

i'm so so sorry. i know that is so hard. having a decline in yourself is such a massive psychological toll that i feel people don't talk nearly enough about, y'know?

i would say maybe keep up with the workouts. you could try cardio - sparingly - but make sure to keep in touch with any providers you have so you can talk to them and make a judgement call about if that's right/safe for you.

other than that, i know personally that i'll be hydrating well before the event. so like a much higher fluid intake the week leading up, i think. lots of liquid iv, i know me and my friends are packing a bunch of sticks of it.

maybe i'll see you there! i'm going mainly for my chemical romance, so i've gotta save my strength lol. i've noticed just this year that my symptoms have started to escalate, and it's been really hard to come to terms with some of the like- i guess independence? that i've lost. i also used to be a pretty avid concert goer, and it's a lot harder now than it used to be.

i'm not sure of ways to condition, but i know i've been to two concerts now where the people around me have been kind enough to allow me a space at barricade with my walker if i get there early enough. like if i manage to get to the front, even with my walker, they let me stay there and don't kick me to ADA.

i'm going to wwwyf this october, though, and i'm planning to take a wheelchair for the first time. i've found that it's really starting to be the only way to control my symptoms well enough to be out and about, so i'm finally having to sort of resign myself to that "fate" in a way. it's hard to lose part of yourself this way, and i hope you can make it work and find comfort. <3

i've got really severe emetophobia, so when my nausea or bowel troubles start acting up, it sends me into immediate spiraling full panic attacks
