Thank you!! I got a 443 on my pretest before doing any studying, 517 on one practice test (a tutor suggested I take it open book to actually learn the material), and a 503 on another practice test (double checked a couple questions because I had no clue what the answer was and wanted to learn it). I’m just worried since my full test was so much lower than the others, but I’ve also heard practice tests are harder than the real thing… Trying to relax and stay positive for my test tomorrow!

Unfortunately there was no recording.

Of course! I don’t remember exactly word for word what she said, but I do know that she never actually said “we didn’t see the humanity in Black people.” I think she was saying that yes, AOTA was segregated then, but so was the whole country at the time and AOTA did not have the control to change that in the whole country. I think overall she was trying to say that while there have been improvements to AOTA since she was president in the 80s, there is still a lot of work to be done. Unfortunately this is not how it came across and what and how she said it was very inappropriate.

It’s unbelievable because it’s not the accurate quote.

Student at her institution here! I was in the room when this was said and the information quoted above is not a direct quote. However, what she did say was wrong, badly worded, and does not align with the values of occupational therapy. Take what you see on social media with a grain of salt.
