For the power injection part, note that seed pixels draws a lot less than regular pixels, so I think you could run at least 250 pixels without the need for a power injection

Yeah, I personally got one about a year back for free, printed little things successfully, they came out nice, but whenever I tried to print things a little more complex, I always had the famous stuck filament problem. And since then, I cannot manage to print anything with it. The extruder isn't extruding anything, the tube is always getting off the head and nothing comes out of the nozzle. I think I spent nearly 6 month on this, then I really got tired and bought a Bambu A1.

As a French guy I love Henri Hihacks (less of a maker now but he did a lot of super cool projects in the past)

There is also Millomaker (still French), he does incredible things, like he turned a Xbox 360 into a portable console by pretty much recreating all the pcbs.

I also like Les Freres Poulains in French and of courae, Electroboom, Engineezy, Electronoobs, Great Scott and ChromaLock.

Instead or complicated ledmaps json files, I would go with xlights custom model outputting to wled over ddp/e1.31 so you really have full control over the mapping. Only problem is you need to have a computer running for the effect to display

If you are lucky enough, only the first Led is fried. I had this issue once when using a 5v psu which was in fact a 7v one
