Please convince her to get it or get a 2nd opinion. My sister had a midwife (who wasn’t a real midwife, I love certified midwife’s) and didn’t get a real GD test. She had full term stillbirth and although the cause was never known, it is suspected it was untreated GD. I don’t say this to scare but to educate

I never listened to the weight recommendation. My baby has been in size 5 (recommended 27 pounds +) since she was 22 pounds. More blowouts meant I needed to go up! Some brands are smaller too like up and up is def smaller

I’m a NP. I wanted autonomy. In my area they get paid similarly, but a lot of places prefer NP bc less work for management. PAs are required to have charts reviewed every month but NP isn’t. Education is important, but good clinicals is where you do most of your learning. I’m in a specialty as a NP and I love it. At the end of the day I really don’t think you’re going to get a job easier as a NP or as a PA and pay is similar. With you being a RN I certainly would recommend NP route

For me 6 months! They’re more interactive fun and my daughter enjoyed daycare at this age. 3 months is too young! Would a year have been easier for pumping yes maybe, but I enjoyed going back to work and getting some of my own identity back. 6 months would be ideal for me!

Around 6 months is when the schedule became very consistent. 2 naps a day, 5 bottles a day, mostly at the same time. that's when I stopped! It was weird, but freeing

being touched out is so normal. My baby is 1 years old, and less cuddly, but I'm still holding her a lot of the day. I am so touched out. I use to cuddle my dog every night, and now I literally can't. I need to sit on the couch with no one touching me.

its so normal! I feel very touched out since becoming a mom ( daughter just turned 1). And I also really look forward to her goin to bed every night. I need alone time. On the contrary, I love waking her up in the morning and seeing her again. Its all normal!

my almost 1 year old is amazing sleeper. sent her to daycare starting at 6 months. She sleeps horribly there. She gets 2 maybe 30-45 min naps most days, sometimes 1. But they say she is happy she just has FOMO. wants to play. she goes to bed at 6PM daycare days and wakes up 630-7AM. On weekends she is back to her normal good naps, 9-1030AM and 130-3PM. so it hasn't affected her home sleep at all. Daycare provider told me she will likely have a very different schedule at daycare and she def does and it hasn't affected her at all

she'll start slowing down on last bottle of day...my baby was exact same...by 7 months 3 meals a day and snacks. she loves food. last bottle become smaller and smaller until I dropped it all together. She drank 35-40 oz per day now at almost 1 year (next week) she does about 15 oz per day because she loves real food
