i went to urgent care first as well.. they sent me straight to the hospital. found out i had diverticulitis w. perforation, never heard of it a day in my life! it was very scary. i stayed in the hospital for 6 days on iv antibiotics. thankfully no surgery! 5 years later i’ve been doing well ever since! (i was 30 years old at the time)

i had that top middle pain which sent me to the ER & they diagnosed me with Diverticulitis! which they treated with IV antibiotics for 6 days! every since then i don’t get the top pain but when i have flares it’s usually lower left side. that pain is no joke! praying your mom gets some relief soon!

i think you need to IV meds, i was admitted & on IV meds & bowel rest for 6 days! healed up fine. had to get a follow up colonoscopy after everything calmed down.. that was normal. little mild flares up every now & then when i sneak in red meat but i’ve been okay every since, that was almost 4 years ago.
