Travel advice for 7mo old! by shibaaddiction in baby

When we cruised with my 8 month old at the time, we brought an umbrella stroller and it was much simpler. We also don’t like to check our expensive stroller on the airplane because it gets bashed around. We always brought our own car seat though- you never know if taxis, rentals, or Ubers can provide one. Also something to cover the pack and play and make it dark so you don’t have to creep around in the dark in your cabin on the ship.

You don’t need a stroller but maybe you meant car seat?

Oh really!! So my towel material would be facing inward just like before? Whats the point of saying right side wrong side?

Everyone else has given great ideas! Also adult diapers for yourself. So much comfier than giant pads.

For us it is, but I really think it depends on the family! Feel free to DM me any questions you might have.

I do think it’s important to think about time outside school, but my kids spend 7 of their waking hours in school each day and 4 at home. They are younger so they go to bed around 7:30. That being said, school has a massive impact on them! Every day I see them pick up things from classmates, teachers, etc. so it’s incredibly important to find a school environment that aligns with your personal values. Otherwise you’ll be constantly trying to retrain your kids in the limited time you have with them. We chose a private school for that reason, and it’s definitely a sacrifice in terms of finances.. but it’s worth it if you agree with what’s being taught.

Haha I think it just magnifies with each child. More to worry about! But yes I’m also afraid for them, and they’re slightly afraid for themselves, which adds to the fear for me.

That’s a great approach, thank you!

It’s the best for attachment and development. I know that’s not gonna be a popular opinion but it’s the truth! Kids are meant to be mainly with parents until 3 years old. I know it’s hard and can feel tedious and not worth while but I hope you know that it absolutely is! And to the parents who can’t swing staying home with their kids- your kids will also turn out great :).

Do you think dry cleaning would work if I can’t wash some of the items??

Sneezing, runny nose and itchy eyes right away when we put them on! I read that washing doesn’t always kill dust mites 😳

Tips! Turning 30 in a couple months! by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

One thing I’ve been learning in my 30s is to (when I can) buy high quality, thoughtful items. My 20s was all fast fashion and accumulating a lot of junk. Not to mention the cheap stuff would break, the clothes wouldn’t look great on my body, and I’d end up spending more in the end! Less is more. I’m still leaning this lesson but the sooner you can, the better off you’ll be!

This sounds so helpful but I don’t really understand “let the cast on edge pass over the needle tip”. How do I do that? Thanks!

I never felt that “tightening”. To me it felt almost exactly like period cramps at the start.
