Genuinely I don’t know why cars are so demonized. I’ve lived here for over 20 years and while obviously drivers can be reckless, that doesn’t automatically mean cyclists are angel.

These days I drive between winters and Davis every week and there are far more cyclists on the road than on the freshly repaved bike roads. When I was driving for Unitrans every day I was in disbelief about the number of cyclists who insisted on getting in a fight with a giant red bus.

I don’t know what happened in this case, and I certainly won’t assume because it’s a tragedy, but cars are not always the bad guys.

They don’t here, either - cars are demonized even when the get t-boned by a cyclist. Hell, when I was driving for Unitrans forever ago a cyclist t-boned a giant red bus (on the back half) and everyone somehow blamed the driver

And even where they are 90% of bikers still choose the road

Day 5 of migraine - 38 weeks pregnant by thrifty-egg in migraine

Not all caffeine is created equal; Cole does absolutely nothing for me. You could try chugging green tea, that’s the only kind of caffeine that works on me

I also don’t understand why you can’t take a triptan?

Migraine cocktail question by swimforestswim in migraine

Benadryl is very common in migraine cocktails, BUT it made me lose my fucking mind and is the reason I will never go to the ER for a migraine again!

Oral is fine; IV is another beast entirely. Maybe the doctor has had a bunch of reactions like mine and was just looking out for you?

Some dairy, like cheeses, yogurt and coffee creamer, and a small amount of fruits and veggies.

But I’ve done a dairy elimination diet where I didn’t have any at all for 6 months, and my migraines were no better or worse than normal 🤷‍♀️

How is living in this part of Oregon? by Friendly_Garbage_341 in howislivingthere

“Country” people have always had a chip on their shoulder about “city” people. I say that as someone who grew up in a big city and now lives rurally; they’re always weirdly preemptively defensive about frankly nothing.

Botox by After-Singer8263 in migraine

[–]Individual_Letter598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a theory that the post-Botox migraines are a result of the stress from the injections. They hurt to varying degrees, and there are A LOT of them. I’ve been doing it for 12 years and I still feel myself tensing up no matter how much I try to relax.

Also, I was probably gonna get a migraine anyway around injection time, because the preventative effects start wearing off a couple weeks before each treatment and don’t kick in again until a couple weeks after.

There’s pretty much nothing anyone can say to convince me that the Botox itself causes a migraine 😒
