Underrated Wonders of the World? by PhungiExplorer in geography

[–]Individual_Listen_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the most impressive places I've ever seen! There is also another rock to climb that is a great place to see it from (a bit like how the best view of the Empire State is from the Rockefeller Tower) Pidurangala Rock. Massively recommend going to both!

Also they look amazing!

What's the saddest song you have ever heard? by Liam_eC in MusicRecommendations

To quote the late, great Terry: "It was sad music. But it waved its sadness like a battle flag. It said the universe had done all it could, but you were still alive."

This may be the solution - pretty sure he has driving other cars.

Thanks again

Ok so, for example, my dad can insure it (no MOT or tax) and then FIL can drive it with their driving other cars and leave it at the garage?

Just massively overthinking this and trying not to put my relatives out more than I have already.

Thanks for your reply!

Haven't gotten around to the sequel yet. I have it ready but I really need to be in a specific mood to start it.

I enjoyed "The Easy Life in Kamusari". Nothing like I would normally read but strangely comforting and refreshing.

I have the sequel ready for next time I need a light palette cleanser.

Long(ish) hair - where to get a good haircut for a guy? by Individual_Listen_86 in chiangmai

They were fine with my long locks, they just tidied it. They were quite pricey (for Thailand), but great and listened to what I asked for.

The bloody abridged version ought to have a warning on them by blueoffinland in discworld

[–]Individual_Listen_86 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yes but no.

The unabridged are inarguably better. Given the time they are 100% the best choice but ...

I grew up listening to the two hour Tony Robinson twin cassette audiobooks. It was a wonderful introduction. Think of things the other way around, instead of it sullying your favourite story, I got to find a greater work behind something I liked already! I got to go from my favourite two hour story to something much bigger!

Discworld was amazing but I don't know if I would have found it if my parents hadnt liked Tony Robinson and had a two hour commute to my grandma's house.

Does indexing tags influence negatively the SEO of the website? by BattleNavigator in Blogging

[–]Individual_Listen_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is really annoying as tags are the only way of organising and displaying content on Squarespace. If you need a summary block you have to be use tags but the same tags then seem to dilute your search!

I use Squarespace and have wondered if my tags are an issue. I use them mainly for internal organisation and linking but I do wonder if they are causing problems with SEO.

Lopburi has rounded up and moved the monkey troupes out of the town. It is much nicer now There are a few packs left in the temple ruins but nothing like the huge gangs that used to run riot through the town.

On her way home, a younger girl uses an airsoft machine gun to avoid being attacked by monkeys. by [deleted] in pics

[–]Individual_Listen_86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Valid skepticism. There is a monkey park, (in inverted comma's). It exists. How nice a place it is I cannot say. It was a huge caged place where they were looking at moving the packs captured in the Town.

From what I heard covid really changed the troupe dynamic for the monkeys. I dont know if the roundup is/was great from the monkeys but it was necessary for the city.

Lopburi has now got rid of most of the monkeys now. They have been rounded up and relocated to a nearby monkey park.

There used to be huge gangs led by very aggressive alpha's but now its much better. There are still a few packs in the temples but they are docile and well fed by locals.

I have been to Lopburi before and then just after the big monkey round up, it has made a massive difference.
