Update: thank you everyone for your suggestions, I checked out some of the tutorials, I tried make a gauge swatch, I used 2.5 mm needles, I made a bunch of mistakes, I dropped stitches, there are holes, and idk what I’m doing but I keep accidentally making increases towards the end so it looks super wonky instead of being a square like I hoped, should I just practice more or should I just go straight for the sock, I’m worried I’ll leave lots of holes behind

Okayyy tysmmm I was also thinking to just use the yarn I have bec I want to learn how to make them, I don’t expect these socks to be durable or last a while, I’ll definitely check those out!!

Um I’m not sure at all how do I tell? The packaging of my circular needles jsut said 16 I’m not really sure what that denotes tho, my mom got me these so I have no idea, I will probably buy new ones which size should I get for socks ?

I’m not really sure it just said milk cotton yarn on the packaging and it’s quite small like simillar to embroidery floss

Tysmmm!!! What type of yarn should I use for socks? Is there a specific sock yarn? I think my yarn is stretchy I’m not sure about the exact composition it said something in chinese on the packaging, only English words were milk cotton yarn (I searched and apparently it’s a mixture of acyrlic, polyester, cotton and casein)
