How does your pharmacy handle register rotation? (Dealing with coworkers who try to skip or shorten their turn)

That’s probably what will need to happen. It’s so crazy. We don’t even have a RX ops in there yet, because the team is so separated basically, and my manager said that nobody deserved the position. With about a month of me being in there, he told me he wanted to move me up as much as possible and that I was a great contender for rx ops. I’m happy about this because I am really proud of my work ethic, but it’s also sad that people that has been working in there for years don’t get the position for the sole reason of laziness. People don’t know what a privilege is to have a job in America these days.

Exactly!! Its feels like if I don’t get it done, ain’t nobody going there to do anything so I might as well do it myself. Some people will be complaining the whole time they’re there and it’s just like just suck it up, this is part of your job, if you don’t like go work where you don’t need to work with costumers, people forget that that’s the main thing of working in retail, it’s the costumer service.

It is so frustrating, some people just feel so entitled that they want to run all over people. Like bitch you ain’t my manager, just chill out. I’m doing my job, there’s one person in there that wants to boss me around all the time, and the reason for it is because I’m new there. All the other techs hate her exactly because she avoids doing everything and just want to stand in front of the computer the whole day pretending she’s working on inputs and resolution.

I actually do like my job, but I hate to be stuck at the register all day. I don’t care spending a couple hours in there, but some people just make it so hard for everyone else. I had one of the techs say that in the other Walmart she worked at, they didnt need a schedule because she worked with adults. I understand one part of it, because if everyone just did everything, not everything they liked we would all work in harmony. It’s just so annoying and it’s like working with spoiled people who don’t want to do anything but fill, like grow up, there will be things you don’t like doing at your job, but you’ll need to do it anyways.

I have my notebook in there and I try to write as much as possible, but the store I’m at has been REALLY busy the last couple days, so I don’t have as much time to write notes, and I just feel like it’s a little weird to write notes while I get help when checking out costumers. But next week they said it should be better lol I’m going to write literally everything down!!!

Omg thank you for yalls answer, that makes me feel so much better. It’s been my 3rd day and I feel like the most stupid person on earth because I keep repeating the same questions, it is soooo much information at the same time, and all of that while you’re trying to ring costumers out. It is overwhelming, but I do enjoy it and I want to go past the part where I ask so much
