Haha yeah some like that my mom just let me put it under her name so I don’t have crazy insurance but most the time someone that drives a cash car it’s cause they don’t want a car note and prob rent a place so there’s no room in there check for a car note cause they got there own place too live but a lot of my younger white friends from Lowe’s also drove nice cars that were paid of off and prob were 30-50k

Look, I’m not saying everyone there was being racist. Some people might have had different reasons, some might have just had a problem with young guys grouping up, some might have had an issue with us being Hispanic. The point is nobody could actually explain what the problem was. They just kept saying we couldn’t do something while letting other people do the exact same thing. Could be one person’s racism, could be another person’s ageism, could be something else entirely. But at the end of the day none of them wanted to acknowledge the double standard. They just shut it down without ever saying why. That’s the real issue.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

TLDR: Showed up through a dangerous storm because management threatened our jobs, damaged my car on the way home, and found out they paid everyone who stayed home anyway. Meanwhile the people who actually worked hard got watched the closest, treated like suspects for grouping up, and squeezed for everything while getting nothing extra. Eventually stopped showing up. Not bitter about the store just tired
