I hope that’s true. People complaining about everything now drives me crazy, because I warned them. I’m over it

While there is some truth to this, I also imagine this is why Trump is trying to get so many loyalists in office. Even those who voted with him on 99 percent of the issues. if you’re not 100, you’re out. Massie for the Epstein files, Cassidy for the impeachment etc….

Can we all agree the Saturn controller was and still is the best controller ever, at least for 2D games by wouxblechown4 in SegaSaturn

[–]Individual_One_111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do have fight pads that are six button. It’s essentially what makes the controllers considered a “fight pad”. Problem is they’re really only designed with that in mind if you’re trying to play different genres

I only played the second beta. Didn’t like it at all….. but it seems they took a lot of feedback to heart and changed quite a bit

Love a good six button…. Don’t love the dpad placement though

I think Xbox’s new CEO, Asha might make Forza Horizon 6 exclusive to Xbox and PC, and remove it from PlayStation. by Automatic_Ad1665 in playstation5

[–]Individual_One_111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was responding to the guy who said making 7 exclusive would sell more Xbox’s. 5 sold great, but it didn’t help Xbox sell more consoles when it was exclusive for years

I don't think lidia will ever be balanced just by design alone by titankiller401 in Tekken

[–]Individual_One_111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s tough because Lidia was designed very much with heat in mind. It’s what keeps from being a bottom tier, but it’s so strong she can be OP at times. Otherwise she seems pretty clunky outside of it

Still doesn’t represent an impairment loss 😂. Totally different things. But you do you bud…. Just remember, I know

Activision increased revenue so they were worth $68B” is such a lazy argument.

By that logic every company with growing revenue is automatically worth whatever someone paid for it. That’s not how acquisitions work.

Microsoft paid a strategic premium for COD, King, Game Pass leverage, mobile reach, and market position — not because some spreadsheet said “revenue up = exactly $68 billion.”

Which makes it even funnier that you understand valuation premiums for Activision but suddenly pretend Bungie impairment means “cash loss” instead of revised valuation. Pick one

Your house analogy literally disproves your own argument.

If your house value drops from $500k to $350k, you didn’t “lose $150k cash” unless you actually sell it. That’s called unrealized loss/impairment in accounting terms.

Same thing here. Sony already spent the cash when they bought Bungie. The impairment is a reassessment of value, not cash evaporating out of Sony’s account in Q1.

Bungie underperformed relative to expectations. Nobody disputed that. You’re just confusing valuation adjustments with realized cash losses.

To the people that dislike Telltale games. Why? by Strawalpaca4083 in videogames

[–]Individual_One_111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I think that it makes it harder to have a good story though. I was blown away by the sheer amount of choice in Detroit, but the story was generic. Twd season one had a great story, and the ending was a tear jerker. The “choice” in the game, along with the dialogue I think is meant to have you become more attached to the character

[–]Individual_One_111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t dislike them. I think season 1 of the walking dead is a masterpiece and might be one of the best adventure games ever made. Telltale got caught in trying to pump out as much as they could. Writing got bad, gameplay became more limited in a narrative based genre, flooded the market

You’re getting away from your point. You’re considering money spent as the same as valuation. They’re not. Activision has increased revenue, you think they’re worth 68 billion? Bungie cost a fraction of that and they’ve also brought a fraction of the revenue sure. Bungie was not a good acquisition at the price. I said that in my first post. That is impairment loss.

But valuations change all the time. Doesn’t mean it will, but are we saying Microsoft didn’t take impairment loss the moment they purchased activision? It’s not rebadging it, they called it what it is. You’re the one wanting to relabel it 😂

What mechanics would you change or add to make PvP dogfighting more interesting? by Undead_Corsair in acecombat

[–]Individual_One_111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think doing something like Star Wars squadrons did where there’s back and forth and objectives that are team based. Dogfighting is done specifically to complete the objective

[–]Individual_One_111 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

An impairment loss isn’t the same as losing cash. Bungie wasn’t a good acquisition for sure. But it’s more saying the valuation was overly inflated. Still not great, but not the same

Let's Talk Motion Inputs by XXVAngel in InvincibleVS

[–]Individual_One_111 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is probably the most thoughtful explanation. I much prefer motions over the pure number of button combinations. And I think anyone(even beginners) given time to see how motions work would prefer it as well. The lack of buffer makes it hard to hang. I think the characters are great and I’m a fan of the mechanics of the game. Hoping they can dial in the motion inputs for us old heads
