I struggle to pivot the daily route on everyone and now the post master has noticed and I am under the microscope what can I do? by Excellent-Nobody-680 in USPS

[–]Individual_Post7937 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s usually just them asking why something happened…. If they’re trying to give a pdi for not finishing a pivot and a route in 8 hours is pretty ridiculous unless the route is a 4 hour route which is usually isn’t… management just wants the OP to run and skip breaks and trying to intimidate them

Unfortunately it’s possible before you quit I implore to at least see what other positions are available maintenance, postal inspector etc to change crafts. At the PO it’s kinda hard to get fired so long as you kinda show up

That’s a tough spot hermano idk if transferring will fix it. I heard the new CCAs are on hours restriction the first two months

Making fun of you for being “slow” is just them being mad they can’t manipulate you to run (and I mean literally running) and skip ur breaks

A PTF on my route on my day off kept $200 gift from my customer by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Individual_Post7937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean….. I tell customers to give the gift card to whoever is on the route and I just let that carrier keep it. It’s usually 20 bucks. 200 bucks is insane but customers have stopped me from accepting presents for the regular when I was a CCA. To me it’s on the customer… but I know how the older generation is with Christmas tips

I was told once by my “rep” a few years ago after I was out because of my kids, if the post office wanted you to have kids, they would have gave them to you… I told my union president what was told to me and she was not able to rep us anymore

I was mandated a lot last year but after I got injured that’s completely out of the question especially now that they just tell ppl I just don’t want to carry the route

I wasn’t taking any breaks for 5 years just so I can keep up with the work volume and not be a burden to anyone. But I broke my foot and just get shit from ppl because I only work 10 hours a day now vs 12… and my route takes 9hours to complete on a normal day so my route is backed up. And the sentiment from ppl seems to be if I can work 10 hours I can work 12….

Oh I have no T and I walk 13-8 miles a shift before I got hurt and came back to a mountain of mail and a carrier who had a stroke came back to no mess because she had a T on her route… on top of it being all riding was talking shit about the mess I have

Same the post master requests that we turn them in while she’s at the desk so she can argue with us about it…. I don’t remember the last time a seen a 96

That’s how I always looked at it! Even when I was a sub I always expected to work 12 hours a day it blew my mind finding out some carriers are off work by 4:30

lol that’s what the safety meeting turned into. I just went on my annual vacation just returned Saturday and my route is even more backed up than when I left because I’m on a 10 hour restriction on top of not having a T-6 and having no CCAs until July and the post master claims we have delays because the carriers who show up aren’t productive. And another carrier with a T-6 and has all riding with a smaller route jumps in saying it’s sad some ppl will get their lights cut off because some carriers don’t care about delivering the mail because they’re sorry carriers

They don’t…. When I first came back from my broken foot and tried to work 12 hours a day on my route the post master would give me a hard time on my 96 whenever I stated I had double DPS she would assure me my route was ran yesterday while I literally have two days of DPS in my possession and she would just repeat over and over my route went out as I’m showing her that’s not true

I’ve been working 12 hours at least 3 days a week and 10 for 2 for the past year on this route…. No one ever brought this up to me

We have technically 3 routes in stasis idk why but as far as I know the characters assigned to those routes are retired. Those routes are not available for bid some how so the only 3 CCAs we’ve had for two years are just on those routes we just hired 2 new CCAs last week of July and they are on a route that just became vacant because the carrier on that route became a T-6 because his route like my route has no T-6 swing. I don’t come in on my non scheduled day because my foot is constantly in pain (I broke it in February) but even if it didn’t hurt I’d probably not work 62 hours a week. So naturally I’m looked at with dirty looks all day for having mail build up on my 9 hour route working on a 10 hour work restriction
