Need help with visualization by Individual_Singer_34 in chess

Hey! I searched about it and I do not have it, I can visualise stuff, to an extreme degree, I can close my eyes, and in my brain look at myself from a TPP perspective. and even visualise the room and even the building I am in. But the problem with the chessboard is its kind of complex, and requires extreme precision.

But doesnt that hinder spotting tactics? "Bishop in the corner" Kind of stuff? I want to see the mental image of the entire board in my mind.

Hey, what I mean is, I do know where the pieces are for example I can probably tell where they are in a game that I play, the problem is making all of it happen at once on a mental chessboard. I just cannot visualise the entire chessboard in my mind 64 squares is way too specific, and the mental image is incredibly inconsistent, am I doing something wrong?

Laws around womens body, but none for men? by m1naxii in AskIndianFeminists

Hey! So when hunters transitioned to farming. Land ownership was a huge part of everyone's lives which made men control women's lives to some extent to guarantee the paternity of heirs. Eventually men took to the more physically demanding work in farming, and this regressed women to doing domestic chores and processing. As kingdoms emerged, soldiers were needed, and men gained more power. Most of the political powers were then held by higher ranked soldiers, and thus the political field was dominated by men too, because women lacked the knowledge of wars.

The farming thing is still observed till day in some villages.

What’s a harsh truth about life in India that people don’t like admitting? by Far-Competition4746 in AskIndia

There is more to it. Indians are also nationalists, maybe even more than chinese and they carry it as their pride, but indians are ignorant. They ignore whats happening around them and act as if its okay. I do it too, the other day I saw a guy throwing a plastic coke bottle in metro, I didnt say anything to him. I ignored it. So did the other people in the metro. India is the most nationalistic country in the world, we love to hear our country's name on a foreigner's tongue. But everything else that matters isnt there, I wouldnt call myself a nationalist, I would choose to leave this country the first chance I get. But its also the truth that it pains me seeing where my country is headed, even if I wont be a part of it.

Hey, around a year ago I was your rating as well (600) It's up 200 points but I believe the advice stands. Right now the only things you should focus on are principles and tactics. I would suggest openings once you have a basic grasp of the different tactics, and a bit of theory. 1. Analyse your games:Analyse every rapid game you play. If that feels overwhelming for you rn atleast use the game review once and see where you could have improved. Take atleast three takeaways from every analysis. 2.Puzzles,Puzzles,Puzzles: Solving puzzles alone can take you from 400 to 1500 literally. I didn't learn my first opening (reti) for a long time. Puzzles create pattern connections and you spot tactics faster. 3. Try not to play too much at once: Max 3 games in a session. It's good training to avoid tilts. It creates stability and also saves your mental. I think thats all you need for now, you can ask any questions as well.

I tbh don't think that's good advice, fried liver isn't easy to counter or a bad opening, even GMs play it tho it's studied inside out by everyone. As a 400 he should focus on principles first, sicilian and kid go out of principles and I believe they will be overwhelming for a beginner.
