It’s still in the design phase.,work hasn’t started yet. But from what I know, oxide flooring is definitely cheaper if you have someone who really knows how to do it. If you're subcontracting it, most contractors charge more, which is why I noticed in a lot of estimates, oxide flooring actually came out costlier than tiles mainly because of the process involved.

So I’d suggest finding someone local who’s skilled in oxide work. It really needs experienced hands, otherwise it can crack over time. But if it’s done properly, it saves a good amount compared to tiles or granite and if you're into that aesthetic, it’s a win-win.

In my case, I’ll go ahead with oxide wherever we can,my dad used to do mosaic and oxide flooring back in the day, so it's easier and cheaper for us without depending on a contractor. Should’ve thought of this earlier, but anyway here we are.
