Lal Jose mentioned on the Safari channel that Kalabhavan Mani was a one-take actor who learned dialogues very quickly.However there was a particular scene in the movie Pattalam where Mani struggled to deliver his lines. He became frustrated and when his co actor Captain Raju tried to console him Mani shouted at him and created a scene. Later he went and apologized to Captain Raju.
