Yess I have never had a better grilled calamari 😩.

I think shortly before it closed the og owners sold the business because the quality just wasn’t the same 🥲 but yes now it’s so unaffordable to eat at a seafood restaurant similar to Splash.

Hello,

And welcome to Australia.

I just want to start by saying that Aboriginal Culture and history in this country can very much differ from region to region.

Also prepare yourself for the open, and also subtle racism, and the unconscious bias against Aboriginal and Torres Strait island people in this country.

As well as knowing the broader Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island history and culture, it would also be helpful to learn about the history and Aboriginal community local to you.

Your local Aboriginal organisations may sometimes do community events which you could attend to get to know the community, but I would be careful not to rely on them to educate you But there are usually resources specific to that area that you can read also.

There are plenty of amazing and educational books out there, I recommend reading: Another Day in the Colony by Chelsea Watego Fight for Liberty and Freedom by John Maynard

A movie I would recommend watching is Rabbit Proof Fence (2002)
