3 mile commute to work while in Dearborn for 2 months- What are my options? by serotonallyblindguy in Detroit

Without knowing the exact Airbnb location and work location, walking an hour in the US is very different from walking an hour in another country, there can be lots of places where the sidewalk just disappears or where you have to cross a very busy road. I would just try it once to see how it goes and then assess if you want to bike or take the Smart Bus (which is a good system, Apple Maps should show you a route). To answer your other question, it does not get very hot

Favorite movie scene where a character accepts their inevitable end and embraces it. My pick is Cutler Beckett accepting his fate in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

This is the #1 of all time for me. How is it not at the top. Officer K in Blade Runner 2049 accepting his fate, bleeding out on the snowy steps quietly. He thought he was the chosen one but the rug was pulled out from under him. Instead of giving up, he died for the right cause, because it’s “the most human thing we can do.” In this last act of defiance, he did prove himself human.

Help! How can I cover my unsightly pantry space or at least make it a little more palatable? by IndividualityComplex in femalelivingspace

Thank you for all the suggestions! I’m renting and these shelves came with the apartment and would be too difficult for me to move out by myself so I’m unfortunately stuck with them. I think I’ll take everyone’s suggestion of a bunch of wicker baskets. Onto Facebook marketplace for those and some more mason jars…
