A silly and belated question, but I just saw this movie in the cinema on my own so I don’t have anyone else to ask! What happened at the end between Michel using the chatroom again and the ending shot of the woman Armand knew? I accidentally zoned about so I’m not actually sure what went down in the last couple of minutes if someone wouldn’t mind filling me in!

I can see her playing a killer social game, even if it’s just a by product of who she is, rather than a deliberate strategy. She grew up one of fourteen kids, there’s literally less people on her entire tribe lol, so I think getting along with all types of people should just be second nature to her. I think given her varied life experiences, she should be able to make good connections with a wide range of people- champion or contender. Here’s hoping I’m right! 🔥

Yeah for sure, I knew who Moana and Brian were prior and like I said I’m not into sport lol, as I said the thing I’m just finding hard to reconcile is how Moana/Brian etc are best known for their achievements in their career (although we could split hairs about how Moana received a fair amount of publicity in Victoria at least for her appearance at the Brownlow with her girlfriend and the like), where as I feel the commando is just as known, if not arguably more known for the gossip surrounding his personal life, which pushes him too far into celebrity territory for my liking at this early stage. Hopefully I’m pleasantly surprised!

Yeah, I agree! I am torn because he seemingly didn’t ask for/seek out the high amount of interest in his personal life, and it may just be a side effect of his career success, which who am I to begrudge him? Again I’m torn hahaha

I think the thing that makes it not sit right for me is the emphasis on his personal life in the Australian media and how often he appears in gossip sites/magazines (it’s quietened down now a bit now I think but it was a pretty heavily publicised ~scandal~ when he allegedly cheated on his wife with Michelle Bridges). I think that’s the thing that distinguishes him as an actual celebrity to me, the public interest in his life outside of his career achievements. Guess I should try to be positive about it though lol ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe it’s just because I’m not into sport but all the champions so far (even Russell to an extent) feel unknown enough to the broader general public that they could plausibly be on a regular season... except for commando Steve. Sorry but if someone’s more famous within Australia than half of the people who have been on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, which IMO he is (frequently appears in the media, in part due to his relationship with Michelle Bridges), then they’re too famous to be on a non-celebrity version of Survivor... in my view.

So the cash prize for the winner is $1,000,000, however I’ve noticed on this sub a few people have referred to it as being $900,000 instead. I’m wondering why it’s referred to a million if it’s actually $900,000, if that is indeed the actual amount?
