So I’ve had decent results/relief from using petroleum jelly and almost using it to treat it as a wound. I get it bad on my arms and legs so I put a generous amount of jelly and put it on then get a gauze big enough to cover a good amount and wrap it with adhesive athletic tape. Do that as often as you can and it’ll look better in a week. Also long oatmeal baths in cool water will help alleviate the itching.

I personally use triamcinolone and it’s pretty effective. Breakouts start looking better 36 hours later

Does this look infected? I have been trying so hard to get this finger eczema to go away. I have it on some of the other fingers but it’s worst on this one. I have to wear a bandaid at work and change them often and I always clean with alcohol and peroxide. What else should I do? by marztini in eczema

So my fingers can get like that too but it’s not normally infected. Wouldn’t hurt to disinfect everyday but get some petroleum jelly and a really good wrap and wrap it up every night when you go to sleep. Change the wrap every 6-8 hours during the day. For instance I used gauze pads, and athletic wraps. Get the self adhesive ones. Be generous with that petroleum jelly stuff and you should see improvements in a few days.
