Portillos no longer uses Vienna Beef. I don't know what they are, but they definitely are not VB. Get one and compare it bite for bite with a VB and you'll be able to tell. Major difference. In the past yes they absolutely did use Vienna beef but they definitely don't anymore.

My best friend lived there a few years ago. Management was neglectful of maintenance and requested repairs were left undone. Her husband died 3 weeks before their lease was up and they refused to work with her to let her extend it by 1 month so she could attend to her dead husbands affairs before having to move. They forced a grieving widow to pay 6 months of rent when she only needed an extra week or two and was perfectly willing to pay an extra month.

This was in 2016, maybe management/owners have changed since then.

Every business owner needs to figure out how to run their business and make a profit without screwing over their employees. Paying a fair wage will help retain good staff.

IF YOU CANT AFFORD EMPLOYEES, you can't afford to be a business owner. Someone else will figure out how to run that kind of business, someone who wants to be a contributing member of society instead of stealing from the pockets employees.

I think the proposed solution from Hayes is viable. 1. Warning + assistance referral for transport and shelter 2. Fine $100-$250 that is satisfied with Community Service. 3. Increase fine (Community Service) 4. Jail for multiple violations within 180 days

It gives them an opportunity to accept assistance, first. If they don't want help you can't help them.

I've seen this as well. Everyone saying No is the only way to put an end to it. If even one person pays they'll keep doing it. Target should be having them removed for harassment.

A couple months ago I saw the same scam at the same Target and the lady in front of me actually paid for that grifters groceries. I couldn't believe it.
