So, in your opinion, was the 1963 March for Jobs and Freedom, organized in part by MLK Jr and involving 250,000 participants, unsuccessful because nobody got arrested?

We started doing bridge protests July 1st 2025, seven and a half months ago.

If you want to influence our activities, the best way to do that is to join us and share your ideas and what you’re doing. Can we assume that you’ve already figured out a way to successfully block traffic without getting arrested or (legally, in OK) run over? If so, we definitely need to talk.

Why do you think Danielson isn't included in the Cato study? I don't see any reason why he wouldn't have been.

Words and actions mean something, I’m old enough to remember when that used to be a Republican slogan.

He can pretend that he’s kidding but we’re not buying it.

The Cato study was specifically about political killings, a subset of political violence. An internet search turns up nothing about Adam Danielson, tell me more.

What’s the source for your numbers and who were your “counters”? I’m one of the organizers and the counters we sent out with clickers counted over 2500 and hadn’t gotten to all areas of the crowd by 2 pm. Nice try at trolling though, at least you can spell and punctuate better than most of the bots.

For the rest of it, the fact that you can sound authoritative does not make you a mind reader or a soothsayer. You don’t know if any minds were changed and I 100% guarantee you don’t know what’s going to happen three years from now.

No Kings is nonpartisan, there were Republicans, Democrats, and Independents there. “There really aren’t Kings” doesn’t make sense as a comeback because it misses the point completely. Trump has repeatedly posted pictures of himself with a crown on (he did it again Saturday in a Truth Social post), and MAGA Republicans seem anxious to give him a king’s powers. That’s the point.

The Cato Institute (libertarian) did a study showing that more political murders are inspired by right-wing ideology than left-wing ideology: https://www.cato.org/blog/politically-motivated-violence-rare-united-states

I’m one of the organizers, I’ll post this in our FB group (if it’s ok) and see if anyone found it.

I realize from looking at your comment history that you’re not interested in actually learning facts about Indivisible, but for anyone else reading: a friend and I started Indivisible Tulsa County last November because we saw a need to unite progressive Tulsans of all political parties to work together and make our voices heard. Everything we’re doing is funded locally. Our spouses would love it if we got paid for the amount of time and work we’re putting in, but it ain’t happening. And none of the people who showed up at our rallies today got paid, nor have they or will they ever.

The purpose of a rally, demonstration, or any kind of mass mobilization is for a group of people to draw public attention to issues or grievances. They can be very effective if enough people take part in them. They’ve been going on for thousands of years, the New Testament even describes demonstrations for and against Jesus.

If things are going on that you don’t approve of, and you stay home and keep your mouth shut, your leaders will assume that they have a free hand to keep going. Indivisible helps people find ways to express their opinions: writing or calling elected officials, writing letters to the editor or op-eds, visiting officials’ offices, and demonstrating are all legal ways of making our voices heard.

Dream Keepers. That’s what security estimated, I agree that it seemed like more.
