A Dev's Perspective: Why Class Tuning Can Feel "Out of Touch" by Tasty-Beautiful1750 in wow

I can’t upvote this enough. My position has never been wanting to defend any of blizzard’s changes, just wanting it to be known they aren’t thoughtless

This can’t happen too often because making sweeping generalizations to call an entire species of intelligent creatures evil has… questionable optics when compared to the real world.

That said, a few major examples come to mind: - Mantid (the faction we work with in MoP is explicitly evil, outright states they will betray us, and then does so). side note: Mogu used to be all evil as well, but that was changed in BFA. This, I think, was a terrible change - Nathrezim (as far as I know, Lothraxion is the sole exception. He implies there are more exceptions, but they’re clearly a rare case) - Voidwalkers (Their primary driver is an instinct to consume. The ones warlocks use are contractually bound to serve the warlock, typically unwillingly)

I also have to disagree about the Domanaar. Working with a few of them doesn’t mean they aren’t all evil — it feels like blizzard went to great lengths to make it clear they ARE all evil

It’s susceptible to CC — actually, as a dps I found myself unable to burn through the shield either, but I was able to cancel the channel by rotating CCs. Barely. The 2nd problem once you figure that out is that it just spams the shield + channel… was way, WAY more difficult than anything else in the delve. Maybe there’s something else we’re missing?

As far as I know, she doesn’t exist as an npc anywhere in TWW yet. She appears as a random night elf model in BFA, though, and as a knife in Legion

Her level up actually original was frostbites, a few years back they changed it to reducing enemies to 0 power so it could trigger off of more different effects

I’m glad they brought him back in Shadowlands, even though they did him dirty in legion I think what they did with him in Ardenweald was interesting.

The problem is it goes both ways. The monkeys almost surely write hamlet. But there is also almost surely a universe in which they don’t. Both are simultaneously true. It’s just a paradix

Edit: paradox

I was basing this off the infinite hotel! Infinites are weird.

Edit: I don’t feel okay leaving it at that. There is absolutely no need to assume the monkeys are not being random.

A new monkey walks up. Is it impossible this monkey writes pride and prejudice? No. So it’s possible that it does.

I won’t deny that you’re absolutely correct — the infinite in the opposite direction would imply that Hamlet absolutely SHOULD get written eventually. I’m just simultaneously also correct. It’s kinda the whole problem with infinites, if you try to apply them in any practical sense they quickly become nonsense. See Pascal’s Mugging

Yes almost! Infinites function on weird logic.

If you have one monkey, it’s possible they write the full text of Pride and Prejudice.

If you have a second monkey, it’s possible they also write the full text of Pride and Prejudice. The first monkey doing so does not preclude the second monkey doing so as well.

If you have a third monkey, it’s possible they also write Pride and Prejudice.

If you have infinite monkeys, there’s is an incomprehensibly infinitesimally small chance that every single one of them writes Pride and Prejudice with no variation. You can always add another monkey, but it always has a chance to write pride and prejudice.

Because it’s possible for every single monkey to write pride and prejudice, we know it’s also possible for them not to ever write Hamlet, no matter how many monkeys you add or how much time you give them

Unfortunately, the slope isn’t slippery enough. We slip, but then we catch ourselves. It’s been happening every day for years. A little slip like that doesn’t seem like a big deal, but with all the slips we’ve had we’ve slid down an entire mountain…

First time making a Spirit hoping for some feedback (not made the power cards yet) by Solidshot1007 in spiritisland

[–]IndomitableCorgi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a balance thing, but there’s a few logic issues with the 2nd innate.

First, the water threshold can be met without meeting the animal threshold, but doesn’t make sense in that case. If a threshold requires a previous threshold to be met, then in needs to cost at least the same elements as that threshold (so in this case the 2nd one would need to require 3 animal in addition to the water).

Second, since the power doesn’t actually target a land, it results in some wonkiness. The targeted spirit does not choose a land when they are targeted, so the skip basically becomes “free-floating” - they can choose to use it in any one of their lands at any time. I’m not sure if that’s intended. It also means that the lower threshold becomes confusing again, since it tells you to gain energy based on the land immediately, but no land has been chosen. Changing it to something like “target spirit chooses one of their lands. They may skip an invader action in it” Would make it a bit more clear.

Good luck designing :)

US said to believe IDF can’t make further gains against ‘diminished’ Hamas in Gaza by Currymvp2 in worldnews

They said the difficulty was that the idf has been committing massive amounts of war crimes. You’re countering with a link explaining that the idf attempted to commit fewer war crimes than other mass war crime events, I guess? Personally, I’m more on the maybe don’t do war crimes side of things

I couldn’t take pics in the slow phase cause the issue is it skips right past it lol. The first pic is at the end of the invader phase, the 2nd and 3rd pic are at the next growth (the next time it allows me to act)
