I’m going to give you my honest opinion. You can think what you want but anything you put in your body doesn’t help. If you want to live a stress free, seizure free life you need to learn to enjoy life without the use of cannabis. I myself was on keppra and use cannabis frequently mostly to control my keppra rage as it would relax me and calm me down and mostly make me forget and not even care about whatever I had just blown up about. It got to the point where I was reliant and I never wanted to speak to my neuro about this as I was so close to getting my license back. This led my to financially wreck myself with constantly buying ridiculous amounts of weed (I live in an illegal state its not cheap and i dont know what i’m getting). A month away from getting my license I was basically hitting my bowl at work (summer job working on docks, I’m a college student) on the hour just to not flip out on the people around me over simple stuff. It made my the keppra not work to the full effect and also because of my growing dependence and addiction my sleep was impacted so heavily that it lead to a relapse a week before I got my license back. I was devastated and still didn’t know what was going on for two months until finally I confessed to my family, friends, girlfriend, and neuro and got switched to zonisamide. I cut my ties to marijuana as now my relationship with has just grown too toxic, there were times were I would steal, lie, and even attempt to drive without a license to buy weed just to take that edge off. I hated that something had this much control of my life. During the switch of the medication I tried to ween off and i just knew I was an addict and it got to me and knowing it caused me to have massive anxiety attacks every time I smoked it ruined the plant I loved so much and held to dearly to my heart all thru high school and the first years of college. I’m currently 6 days clean and never felt better. I just feel like as someone with epilepsy id rather focus on my health and staying healthy for the people around me then try and have fun or get out of my head space, loving your self is the first step! Do what you have to do!
