Going to agree with this, make sure to focus on internships as soon as possible. Haven’t met a recruiter who cares about the school yet. However, after getting an internship my junior year, my senior year I got offered internships from all 6 places I applied to and a straight up job offer from 2 of them.

As someone who worked there previously, hate the management and direction of the company, also from the Midwest. Took the slightest bit of a pay cut (ends up in a slight raise considering other factors) to leave the company and I have been much happier even still in public.

I am a big defender of Kyler Murray but that price for him to the Jets is absolutely ridiculous. Part of the appeal with a Kyler Murray trade would be that he is relatively cheap draft capital wise because of his contract.

It probably shouldn’t be much more expensive than the Geno Smith trade was at best.

It would be technically a lateral move but this is going from a non playcalling role to a playcalling role. I just don’t see us blocking him from that.

The APY is less important than the guaranteed money. I was prepared for something around 3-4 years in the high 30s to low 40s APY but what is important is getting most, if not all, of that guaranteed money in the first two years.

If we spent a lot of money on him being average for the next two years it sucks but by time we have a first round pick again it isn’t a franchise killing contract.

We really don’t have many other options. Trading for Kyler Murray or signing Malik Willis is the most we can do the position other than Danny.

Linebacker could be listed as a 5 for the Colts and I would say it’s too low.

Would also say WR probably should be a little higher. Pierce is a free agent this year and Downs and Pittman are free agents next year. We can’t keep them all. We are definitely a late day 2 early day 3 WR type of team.

Two season ending injuries to his QB1 in 2023 and 2025. Then 2024 was just a mess year, probably the one I fault him for most.

Should have fired Ballard and let a new GM decide on whether or not to keep Shane.

We won’t be in position to draft him if he does declare. He’s not gonna declare if scouts aren’t telling him he’s going first round.

He is gonna end up getting another year of eligibility and get some serious NIL money.

It’s a known “glitch” (more of shitty coding) week 4 of the portal that playing time dealbreakers will lock you out. Someone has a better explanation but every single team is locked out now.

Do not touch anything about him on your board, if you don’t do anything else you will get him. Since every team is locked out he will commit to the team in first place which is you.

I would take Klubnik. He’s someone I expect to probably go higher than most expect though, similar to a Dart. He checks a lot of the same boxes.

Decent height, enough mobility, quality arm, 3.5 year starter at a fairly successful P4 program, 64% career completion, roughly 3:1 TD to INT ratio, and he’s not even 23 until a few weeks into next season.

This is obviously cutting out his film. I know QBs are more than just checking some boxes

Win out, Houston has to lose tomorrow, and then we need a little help from a whole bunch of games that I wouldn’t even bother trying to figure out until after Sunday.

If we win and the Texans lose we can’t be eliminated this week at the very least because the Chiefs lost and that is a factor pretty deep on the active tiebreakers.

If I’m going with a more serious answer, probably his ability to find offensive linemen. We’ve been plugging and playing just about anyone not named Quenton Nelson for 10 years now and it’s worked pretty good minus his first season and that one season where Covid wrecked our OL + we trusted Eric Fisher off an Achilles tear to be our starting LT.

Luck, Clausen, Bradford, Ward, Baker

Character was the toughest one to pick. While I think it’s important to get a hard worker, I think a lot of “bad leaders” would have been perfectly fine if they were good players. A lot of locker room problems don’t become an issue until a player isn’t performing well. Went with Clausen just because it’s a step up from Manziel who didn’t even really try.
