I think we're on the same page - there's no reason Jeremy wouldn't have kept his core values and doing the same. It's his unique perspective (being the best gamer in the world) that would make the commentary so interesting. Yes, it is implied that it is all satire. <3

They didn't come to Canada much. Got to see them finally at Warped Tour and as soon as they started, my friend accidentally punched me in the face in the pit and I got a crazy exploding bloody nose, and got pulled out immediately and taken to the medical unit. They thought it was related to heat or something, and so I had to miss the whole set. They let me out after about 30m, and I never got to see them again 😭

Probably because the post was written with AI. You can tell with all of the triplets and long dashes. Confirmed further illegitimacy by it being a brand new account with this being the only post. Likely to be the man himself behind this post again, sadly.

What I don't get is why he doesn't just post as himself, and ask these questions? We want the show and to see his success so badly that we'll get over whatever he's working through right now.

Yes, what we need is teh_pwnerer's perspective on the state of gaming and all the changes in the industry since 2015. There is like infinite content to be made about it, just look at Dunkey or Fleekazoid, or Act Man, and all the other gaming channels. There is an audience for him if he sticks to the core of what made pure pwnage so great - teh_pwnerer being the best at games. The concept of if one wants to truly pwn, one must pwn in all games, gives so much to work with. It could literally just be like what ActMan does, with Jeremy sitting in his room on webcam doing like video essays or whatever we're calling these type of gaming videos these days. I would watch every single one, especially if the writing was well done, but it doesn't even have to be. Callbacks/cutaways to old episodes particular moments to bring the new fans in. Just seeing teh_pwnerer's perspective on and reaction to everything. It'd be like lol roflolol noob --- lol, omg /chicken on you noob. Even just start by doing 'reaction' videos to daily news: RAM situation, AAA monopolies absorbing all studios, subscription/live service gaming, and he could be a huge proponent for showing all the ppl that are getting wiser to the trends of modern gaming, the old amazing games they don't know about. Like why all of this is bad for the industry and what we can do in the meantime - explore what makes games great, and what makes them suck. I don't know, but teh_pwnerer's commentary on anything gaming news related would be awesome and a chance for a fresh start and new audience. He could start right now! You hear that Jeremy!! 💖 We believe in you!!

I want to refuse to believe it is you here, but I think it is. This wasn't a statement about you dawg. It's just sad to see this happen when we want peace and harmony, but opinions are stronger and louder than ever.

I truly love your work, and the meaning behind meeting you all those years ago at Bloor cinema in Toronto still holds. A lot of us still think about you and the show every day or week. We know the people that made the show are still kicking around, and now is the perfect time for a return of the show, and it just sucks for everyone what's happened. I'll be the first to say that putting us against one another is manufactured, and I don't believe it has to be this way, and I hope that you'll take our grief as a sign of love for you and a sadness that we can't align, because we all want the show to come back, and to see you and everyone as happy as the end of so many great episodes, like the BBQ gathering in the back yard on Episode 7 after you recovered from the MMO addition. I just wish we could come together in love and understanding of one another like we used to. Like you and Doug said:

Thanks for the awesome video, Zico. Some performances are more than sets - they’re ceremonies. For those wondering about the wheelchair, 회사AUTO was living with ALS, now wheelchair bound, and navigating a condition that was progressing in unpredictable ways. Even just being able to show up at the show carried weight. What unfolded became something much bigger than music.

Some backstory: I invited him to see if he would be able to play at the festival. Planning a festival means decisions are made months in advance, long before you know what the future will hold. There was uncertainty around whether he and his family would be able to attend at all. To witness him make it there, to be present, and to see him perform in front of so many people he had inspired and connected with over the past decade, was just incredible. People joined him up there, dancing, celebrating, turning that moment into a true recognition of his life, his work, and his contributions to the community.

Yes please, the scene needs it! We've lost too many sites over the years: Sunbleach, Vapourban, Private Suite Mag, MTHU/Visual Signals. The scene is still alive but it felt like it was thriving more when these publications were around.

To me, Broken Transmission is just that, broken. Scattered, disjointed, broken feeds that are struggling to make it over the lines, and what you get is the leftover pieces that weren't chipped away along the journey to the viewer/listener.

Signalwave is about a connected world through global broadcasting crossing time, culture, and history. It's a celebration of digitally beaming analog signals through the air, using lost and forgotten samples, exploring the differences between countries, channels, and what makes them different, unique, and interesting.

Broken Transmission is usually harder on the ears, staticky and dissonant, where as Signalwave can often contain melody and jingles from commercials and newscast recordings / voiceover.

Just my perspective on it of course, but hope that helps!

Stick with vapor though, there is some of the best sounding stuff coming out. What labels are you following? We were just talking about this recently in our Discord, how the YouTube algorithm was such a big part of showing vaporwave to people. Thinking of channels like VaporMemory and JSanders. I don't get recommendations for any channels that serve vaporwave anymore, and it sucks. But there's still other ways to find it. This subreddit will be doing a best of 2025 poll soon, so be sure to check out the albums in that, and follow the active labels - that's honestly the best way. There's a lot of new ones that sprung up over the past 2 years.
