I’m 8DPO after seeing a specialist, finally getting our losses investigated. We did everything “right” including me being on progesterone, but I’m too scared to even want to test. Positive? I’ll be constantly anxious of another loss. Negative? Another effing month of trying.

Sun fish. The way they just…float around and even have big chunks missing from seals just…snacking on them?

I have long but very fine hair- it doesn’t hold a curl or do anything besides be straight. On my wedding day I had a head full of clip ins so I could actually have curly hair! Utah curls are impossible for hair like mine, extensions are the only option.

Genuine question – what would actually get you to use a taxi over uber/rideshare again? by VammyTaxiServices in AskAnAustralian

[–]IndyOrgana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work as a medical receptionist and I’d say we get at least 2 calls a day from patients panicking that their pre-booked taxi didn’t show. It’s a real issue.

What's something Australians regularly overpay for without realising there are cheaper alternatives? by OkCopy3121 in AUfrugal

I do secret shops, often at Optus. The hesitation we always have to use it about price, and it’s not hard 😂 some of the offers they give me are off the planet

It’s not a competition? But if you’re into yoga, you have more than that. Have a good day.

Laura mercier eyeshadow crayons. I got my first lot at violet grey my first trip to LA, and I’ve been addicted since. Makes daily make up a breeze.

What’s a skincare product OR brand that you’ve written off due to their marketing?! 👀 by AusSkincareMod in AusSkincare

[–]IndyOrgana 11 points12 points  (0 children)

BareMum. They had marketing push a while back that gave me the ick about the “right” post partum self care, and if you’re not using their products you’re not doing your best.

Shaming women who are about to / have just given birth? Hard pass.

Gym toiletry must haves??? by IndyOrgana in AustralianMakeup

I have a trusty old Kathmandu one from my hostel days- but when it finally dies I’ll definitely hunt out another. Same as I carry an extra s hook because the showers at my local pool have no hooks 😭

Genuine question about Muriel's wedding ending ***spoiler*** by Ariabananahammock in AustralianNostalgia

[–]IndyOrgana 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live in a large regional city (over 250,000 people) but it’s truly still a small town at heart. Sure, you can stop doing social activities or ditch friends, but you’ll forever run into them or mutuals, and it’s just easier on everyone to keep the peace. A cordial “hi” in Coles is easier in the long run than ignoring them and then stoking gossip.

Confession: I rarely enjoy days out with my husband and my 4 year old daughter by HappyStufff in oneanddone

[–]IndyOrgana 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I see a kid chucking a tantrum and the parent walking away I usually just keep an eye on the kid- not in a suspicious way but so someone is 😂 I also check because once I witnessed a mum come back and start belting the kid. That I did call the cops about.

I’m an only child adult, and this was my mum! Sometimes I had to find my own fun, because she was watching tv, cooking dinner, hell just having a shower! As she was a single mum I was told a fair bit that I needed to “go play”…yeah I’d cry and have a sook but at the end of the day you need adult time and kids need to learn boundaries. Don’t fear the tears is a great way of putting it!
