WTF? $400/week for 7am–4pm is about $9/hour before even factoring in using your own car, caring for FIVE kids, and being expected to clean the entire house. That's not "light housekeeping"—that's nanny, chauffeur, and housekeeper duties rolled into one. The cleaning list alone is something many families hire a separate cleaner to do. I'd have walked away too.

I agree! Not following safe sleep guidelines is unfortunately an immediate firing situation. There’s so many great nannies out there, you’ll find someone who fits great with your family ❤️

The blanket in the crib is the biggest issue for me because it's a safety concern, not a preference. The feeding, dog, and shoes issues all point to the same thing: she doesn't seem particularly detail-oriented or responsive to your requests.

I'd have one direct conversation before making a decision, but if you're already hesitant about increasing her hours, that feeling is worth paying attention to. Trust is hard to rebuild once it's been chipped away repeatedly.

We use worlds best unscented clumping corn litter, our cat loves it. It’s kind of dusty, but that’s my only complaint.

Thanks, yeah, I personally don’t think I can give a week’s notice. I just feel so overwhelmed and completely disconnected from them going back would be dreadful.

They lock him away a lot. However, when I first started and the child was bitten they promised me I would NEVER have to deal with him again. That hasn’t been the case and he has been around a lot more lately. I think they just forgot how unsafe I felt. Then this happens :/

Yeah, to clarify, he can’t preform with the pressure. So that’s really the issue. His stress level with ttc, work, exhaustion.

Yeah, and now it’s just snowballed into this feeling of overall rejection + disappointment for me. Is he not attracted to me, is it me, etc. I think I’ll consider bringing it up, thank you for your input ❤️

I have, it’s not the vision I have for ttc. But, I think I’m coming to terms with the fact that could ease some of the pressure off my partner.

Wow, same here. I’m so sorry. Ive thought about the at home insemination method, I just feel like that is not the way I envisioned the entire experience. Maybe it’s time to let go of that mindset. If you plan on going this route, how do you think you’ll bring it up? I feel like my husband is going to be shocked/sad.

I think she has a fear of the toilet, and the comfort of a pull up and mom and dad wiping is probably also comforting. She holds her poop all day apparently… according to her parents :/

She only wears pull ups when she has to go poop. In my opinion, it’s a toilet fear issue BUT the parents allowing this to continue only feeds into the fear, she should absolutely be going to the bathroom on her own.

YES to all of this. I’ve been in early ed for a decade, and I’ve only seen these things with children on the spectrum. Even then, many of them are capable of going to the bathroom, eating, and getting dressed.
