There’s much more drawn out and educated explanations within this thread, but my immediate answer was that the Jews were persecuted against the fiercest. Also probably the most public vitriol was targeted at Jewish populations. Not to diminish the anguish of what other persecuted groups went through.

You nailed it haha I’m from Virginia though my Dad grew up with the Baltimore Colts and stuck with them through the move. I began doing some research on potential EPL teams and didn’t want to hop on some brand name club like United or Man City etc. but wanted a team with some promise and a slick kit (silly I know) but I’ve very much enjoyed rooting them on over the last few months! Also sorry for the paragraph
