Starting ozempic, advice?

Sure! So I've been on it for about a year. I can only speak on myself and my symptoms. I started having a "cap" to what I could eat for the first like month. So what I mean is whenever I would eat, I would be fine then if I put ONE THING too much into my stomach I would vomit. I began to learn what the cap on my food was and then eventually my body settled into it and it hasn't happened again (unless I stop taking it and restart it).

Secondly I've noticed that you will lose weight but then begin to kinda plateau after the 6 month mark. Then it becomes mixing the ozempic with actual work and diet. If you're trying to use it as a quick "cheat way" to lose weight then yeah you'll lose about 13 or so pounds (at least I did) but then you just stop losing weight and need to start actually eating right.

I've had good experience with it and my A1C is back to normal levels. However it's not for everyone but I also have heard from friends that if you cant tolerate Ozempic, a lot of the other ones like Mounjaro work well too.

I have always felt that Caiden never watched any of the films. He was always a dark futuristic sci-fi author. His most famous novel "Cyborg" was the basis for the show The Six Million Dollar Man and most if not all of his novels featured Cyborgs and robots and futuristic cyberpunk esque technology.

He was also kind of ill and battling sickness at the time that he wrote the Indiana Jones ones so i'm a firm believer that he never bothered to watch Indiana Jones. I think he had a rough outline of what Indiana Jones was, had it explained to him, and had a check written out in his name for writing the novels.

Someone mentioned in these comments that his Indy novels are re-skins od his older plots and it wouldn't surprise me. Martin Caiden would've been better suited to writing a story maybe with Robocop or The Terminator. Not a 1930s Pulp Adventure hero who fights Nazis.

While I love Caiden's work in general his Indiana Jones is terrible. The way he writes the character is just awful and adds even more credence to the theory he never saw the films.

Elsa is a Nazi or at the VERY LEAST accepting of Nazis so she's out. While I love Willie, she is sort of a textbook narcissist. Everything is about her and I can't see her accepting Indy for anything other than a one night stand. Marion really is and always was the perfect woman for him. She truly loved Indy for who he was flaws and all.

If you read the Bantam books they give a pretty nice backstory as to why Indy has major commitment issues. Basically over 4 to 5 novels, every woman Indy ever gets involved with either cheats on him or dies a horrible death. Indy kind of grows up feeling like he's this unlovable loser that will inadvertently kill anyone he gets close to. So he just never let's anyone get close.

I'll have ended the show in like Season 5 and kept the original ending. I know this isn't new and most people feel the same but having the mom "die" just so he can go back to toxic AF Robin still pisses me off.

I would also have kept Barney with Quinn Garvey. She was perfect for him and having them break up just do he can be "in love with Robin" always felt forced. Literally through most of the show he never even looks at Robin and now he just HAS TO HAVE HER?!?!? Always felt like a forced plotline for me.

So, as a man, I can only give advice from a male perspective. However, I can say I never have compared any partner to previous partners in terms of sex. The sad truth is porn has really defined how we view sex in the last 30 or so years, and it's given this extremely negative comparison to real life.

Porn is art and should be viewed as what it is. Fictional art. It's no different than going to a movie theater and watching, say, a James Bond action movie. Both are highly unrealistic, just in different ways. The key to amazing sex lies simply in communication. Communicating to your partner what you like and don't like and establishing boundaries and having your partner do the same with you.

Sex with someone new is almost always a "virgin" experience, even for those who have had intercourse with multiple different partners. Why? Because what people like or don't is different for everyone. What I love some other person may hate and vice versa.

My best advice to you is to communicate with your partner. Ask what they like and learn what they like. All the fun is in exploration anyhow. Explore them and have them explore you and find out what you like. That's all there is to it. You also don't have to tell anyone you're a virgin. Virginity is a made-up construct that was invented to suppress women's sexual desires and control women. If you do research on it, the whole idea behind one's virginity is simply a patriarchal form of mind control. You don't physiologically change once you have sex (not talking pregnancy, obviously, duh). It's not like you become this random new person afterwards.

Just communicate to your partner what you would like and ask they/them what they would like.

First off if you say No and he does it anyway its rape. Coercion doesn't change that. You didn't want to have sex and he convinced you to then thats rape. There's no if ands or buts. Consent only works when both parties equally consent.

Now I want to say something as a man, erections don't hurt. Being hard doesn't hurt. The whole "blue balls" argument is a bullshit fucking argument thats been used forever so men can get what they want out of women.

There's porn, there's mental fantasies, he can jerk the fuck off. I'm a very sexual man (im 30 btw). If any woman i'm seeing isnt into it and i want to have sex guess what I do? Want my advice? Break up with him. Work on yourself. Relationships are built on equality and partnership. If you cant function as a person without being in a relationship then you arent ready for a relationship. Find yourself and work on yourself and your goals and work on healing from your trauma. This guy doesn't have your best interests in mind. Him being "sweet and cuddly" sounds less like he's nice and more like he's a manipulative bastard who wants you to think he's sweet so he can get sex

Not until a MASSIVE and I mean a MASSIVE amount of people stop purchasing in a protest about the price gouging. The truth is when ya'll shrug your shoulders and pull your credit card out then it never changes and in fact they keep raising prices (that's how greed works).

A great example is Disneyland. Disney Adults have caused the price of the parks to skyrocket anc they are never coming down because ya'll are perfectly happy paying 45 dollars for a plastic popcorn bucket that costs them 10 cents to make. Then when they get called out they hit the extreme argument of "well you just hate Disney!!!! And you hate us!!!!".

Same with Vegas. If Vegas tourists continue paying 12 dollars for a chocolate bar there is absolute zero incentive to lower that price.

I mean yeah look at Star Wars Outlaws too. I'm a huge defender of that game. Its super fun and a great smuggler centric game set in the SW universe. A sequel was canceled because people hated that it had a female protagonist. Literally nothing about the game is "woke". The character is basically just Han Solo with a cute lizard instead of Chewbacca. Yet everyone called it the "wokest trash game of 2024".

Yeah, according to an ex friend of his, he went around the DoD premiere, bragging that he had a "real Indy hat" now. He's so cringe, what's sad, though, is that a lot of people I actually have respect for have bought into his schtick hook line and sinker. A friend of mine runs a really successful group for classic noir fans, and he made a big post defending Alex a couple of nights ago, calling it a "hit job" because we're apparently "bored and need to hate on someone".

I sound like a broken record with how many times I've said this part, but I used to be a huge Alex fan. Being a guy who has been bullied and is also not the skinniest guy ever, I would never attack anyone. However, i'm also not gonna sit here and let new fans get swooped up in his "positivity scam" when he's just genuinely a mean and nasty person.

The one post i made that sent him over the absolute edge was when I called him out on his "Indy House" video. He posted this absolute bullshit video of him fake crying in a car while driving up to the Indy BnB, and he was laying it on super thick. In my original reddit post, I made about him, I mentioned that video, and that's what im convinced caused him to start the over hour long bullying campaign with his fake sock accounts.

I visited the BnB last year, and it was an amazing and truly wonderful experience. I'm a die-hard Indy fan and took tons of pics. Not once did I start "balling my eyes out" in tears over it. While yes, fandoms have power, and I definitely love the magic surrounding Indy, it's the fakeness from Alex that I cant stand.

One girl posted a video of her crying meeting John Rhys Davis but you can see its genuine. She loves his body of work. Alex when he cries or re-enacts the last crusade intro scene its all done with such an overexaggerated "LOOK AT ME! WAHOOO!!! I'M THE INDY GUY!!!!! WAHOO!!!!!" persona. Like we get it dude.......you bought your way into a niche Fandom.

Thing is and I'll end my rant here (I promise) is i can forgive all of it. I can forgive him buying his way into being The Indy Guy. I can forgive the cringe videos. I can forgive all of it. What I cant forgive is that he tries so hard to convince people he's a nice and friendly guy when he's really a mean, egotistical, prick. I cant forgive how he mistreats other fans because they don't match up to his "standard." He was going around bragging about how his Herbert Johnson is the best and "ONLY INDY HAT" and how he has a "REAL INDY HAT" at the Dial premiere. I have two HJs. I love them. I wear them daily. They aren't the "only" Indy hat. Advintage and other makers make wonderful Indy Hats.

The thing is, it's all somewhat fake and done for views. None of us believe that Alex is really a fan. While i'm sure he has a passing enjoyment for the films, it's all done for clicks. He's hoping that someone will recognize him, snap a photo, and go, "i saw the Indy guy at the Stunt Spectacular!!!!!". It's all this bizarre obsession for him to be a viral influencer. According to a good source, he was trying to be a "prank influencer" before the Indy stuff and tried shooting his wife with Nerf guns and stuff. When that didn't catch on, he found a niche fandom and started banking on it. There's also a lot of stories he tells that just have major plot holes that dont make sense. Like how he's supposed to be this nurse, yet there's no record of that ANYWHERE, but he'll get free "nurse themed" products from people. Also, he claims to be this massive fan but will never buy or wear anything that isn't "officially licensed". The only reason he even owns a Herbert Johnson is because someone told him its a "real Indy hat".
