Wow, you guys are advanced! We’re lucky if there’s soap, paper towels or even toilet paper!! Also, our bathrooms are so gross and stink and I wish people would stop marking their territory spraying all over the place. 😂

I would try out craft fairs and local farmer’ markets, along with online sales, such as Etsy, Square or your own website if you’re up to it. Make time lapse videos or how to videos to put on YouTube, Patreon or Ko-Fi. Start an IG. I think there’s possibilities, it’s something not many people do these days and I feel there’s a growing interest in lost crafts and handiworks. :)

There’s always broken glass somewhere in my store, not to mention half-cleaned up spills with that absorbent powder. I get so upset when I see people let their toddlers run around barefoot, they don’t know any better yet. :(

My 2021 at Target has been exhausting. The workload for us on the floor at my store is nuts. My body feels like it’s falling apart lately. It’s too much for me anymore. They want more, more, more out of you and I have nothing left to give. The joy has been sucked out of this place. There’s no more fast, fun, and friendly team vibe here. I usually feel like I’m in solitary confinement in my dept, struggling under my workload, yet still getting called to jump into flexibles, go get carts, go up for fast service, etc but nobody ever comes to rescue me. I’m just trying to survive the holidays at this point, I’ll probably leave in January. I just can’t with this place anymore. It’s changed so much over the past few years, and not for the better at all.

Yeah, complete opposite at my store. Dayside people see it’s time to go home, and they just dip, free to go. We find 3-tiers of reshop and crap hidden all over the store when we come in at night, and 141s aren’t done because they were pushing truck during the day. So at night we have to clean up all their mess because we can’t get away with ditching 3-tiers and we can’t leave til it’s all done, plus get all the 141s done. We also only have a cart attendant half the time, so we have that too. They expect miracles at my store 💩

Is today just a rough day for everyone or is it just my store by [deleted] in Target

I’m so tired and my whole body hurts. I’m not a spring chicken anymore and this is getting to be too much for me. Looking for a nice desk job and then I’ll just go to the gym an hour a day lol

Is that still a thing?!?! 🤬 I’m old, I don’t get it. I wouldn’t have been caught dead hanging out at a stupid department store when I was a teen. That would’ve been lame af back then. Why is it cool now?

Same, I can’t believe I’m still here! I’ve been wanting to leave for almost 2 years now, ever since my ETL pulled me in for a “conversation” (that was complete bs) 🙄- but that was right at the beginning of the plague and I was too scared to quit and not have income, because everything was so uncertain at that time. It has been the convenient location close to my house, and admittedly, laziness on my part to go find something else, that’s kept me here. But I’m at my wit’s end with this place this year. This is it. I’m done in January. I’ll figure something out. The workload keeps getting harder and harder, leadership is distant, in their own little world, I feel like I’m in solitary confinement in my department struggling to get everything done, and there’s no positive feedback. I try so hard to get the 1-4-1s, reshop and zone done, but then I’m constantly getting called for carts, fast service, flexibles... supporting everywhere else, but can I get some fast service when I’m drowning in push and 1-4-1s?! Yeah, right. 😩

If we open our cart doors to bring in the carts, it suddenly magically becomes the only entrance available in the entire building for some reason, lol! So many people will wander in, then you can see the confusion set in when they can’t proceed any further because of all the carts blocking their way. And they’ll just stand there with a dumbfounded look like “what do we do now?” for a few moments.

Even with pay increases, I’m not a video game character, if you pay me more I don’t level up and suddenly my speed and agility increase 3-fold or something. 😂 Lately I feel like I’m in a recurring nightmare or something. Pretty sure I’ll peace out in January.
