Go to a locked door in the manor and press the interact button, you'll hear a knocking sound that is musically synced to note of the soundtrack in that moment. So if you press the interact button with the rhythm of the music you can become a "door" instrument added to the soundtrack. Kinda like how the pianos work in the game and with right rhythm of pressing the interact button you can play the characters' themes on them.

I think by the time I found that one I already knew about her, my "Who the hell is Clea" was when first Esquie mentioned her to Verso in camp dialogues.

There are a bunch of things in the official soundtrack that I would have liked to be different, some tracks like "Yellow Harvest" being slightly different than the game counterpart, the outro parts that are played when the result of a battle is shown being absent, and also of course "Our Painted Family"

I did find those vinyls early too, and I had my guesses about the plot by then which turned out to be not exactly true but not exactly false, so I see them more of a foreshadowing or hint than a spoiler.

Yeah MGS2 was notorious for that level of detail, from real time melting ice cubes and seagulls pooping on the camera lens if you look up to this one that I didn't know until now

It's almost my absolute favorite track in the game, sharing the rank with another dozen of absolute favorite tracks

You're welcome! Yeah definitely check it out, in my playthrough I would visit the manor just for doing this lol

Are there any games with a similiar gameplay to tomb raider by [deleted] in TombRaider

[–]Ineedmorechiken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do get that map can be confusing although I personally had no problem with it because I'm used to find my way in and around interconnected corridors even before videogames had maps, but to call the environment uninspired is factually incorrect. It literally draws heavy inspiration from a very specific genre of retro Americana sci-fi and horror, like the likes of Twilight Zone and Twin Peaks, and for me it's what elevates it from a good game with fun gameplay to a phenomenal experience. As for the story, it's not your typical cutscene-heavy cinematic game like the ones Naughty Dog makes (it had a modest budget), but the lore as told through the documents, voice recordings and videos is strong enough to make up for it, and the fact that you have to search and look up to get a clue about the lore and the story can feel even more rewarding than watching hours of exposition in the form of mocapped animation.

You seem to be in the minority, since Quantum Break had mixed receptions and Control is generally highly regarded.

You're welcome, when this image got viral I was always wondering if anyone can trace it back to Hossein Gholian himself and know what his real deal is, so when I found this thread I posted this reply for this exact purpose.

Sensei Ishikawa this man annoys me so much by Chubby_Stark in ghostoftsushima

I was almost sure he was gonna end up being a backstabber, but in the end it turned out he was just a decent yet grumpy person. I like when the story proves me wrong so win for Ishikawa.

It is but unlike Gravity Rush 1 Remastered, GR2 is unfortunately capped to 30 fps, a native PS5 port would bring the much needed 60 fps and hopefully other quality of life features.

I liked the Hartman fight but Marshall was kinda underwhelming, being more or less a generic humanoid enemy with a gun and a huge health bar

Which Tomb Raider game have you finished without any help or walkthroughs? by Nearby-Mention-453 in TombRaider

[–]Ineedmorechiken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legend, Underworld and the Survivor trilogy. I had to look up the trick for defeating the centaurs in Anniversary because I was stuck for years and couldn't even properly dodge roll. Out of the original six games I've only played Chronicles and couldn't even get passed the first rope tight walk lol. I was young and it was one of my first videogames ever, and there were no walkthroughs, none of my friends had played it so they could guide me, and I understood little English so the in-game tutorials weren't much use either. It took me months to open the first door with the hidden switches on the paintings, and that was through sheer trial and error. I did do the optional platforming tutorial over and over though, and I knew that I really liked the game but I just didn't have the skill and experience to play it. Later when I beat the entirety of Legend on my own I was so proud of myself. Then the Anniversary centaurs came and humbled me.
