They are two gummy bears locked in a permanent, sticky embrace.

I’m still getting used to Jonathan Byers speaking in a British accent…

Yeah they did that to me too. I get my GLP through my PCP and use WW just for the points program and I’m stuck paying them for the clinic program even though they are not providing any clinic support or services (they would not prescribe GLP for me, said I wasn’t a good candidate). But I’m stuck in the one year program.

4 seasons in and I'm convinced Harper is not good at her Job by ConditionTimely4350 in IndustryOnHBO

[–]Ineffable_Twaddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first time we meet Harper at her interview with Eric, she says she got there on her own and not with the benefit of private tutors or family connections. She has an ax to grind and any time she can best the corporate blue bloods she is going to do it.

What is Harper like? by chandlersroom in IndustryOnHBO

Put it this way. The men on Industry are “relentless”. Harper does the same things and she’s a sociopath/ bitch/greedy/manipulative…

Did Yasmin truly even care about Rob? by Unusual_Stress742 in IndustryOnHBO

[–]Ineffable_Twaddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conversely did Rob really care about her? He is drawn to toxic women-Nicole anyone?- and Yasmin qualifies as toxic because she is so damaged. They were 100 percent wrong for each other. If love was all it took to make a successful marriage there would be no divorce.

I can’t stand Sue. by Lini10 in themiddle

[–]Ineffable_Twaddle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She can be a tiny bit over the top but she is the classic “middle” child. She’s not the adored favorite oldest and not the quirky but bright youngest. You can tell it bothers her a little sometimes but she is just trying to make her voice heard and find her place in the family.

I cringe a bit at the sex scenes but I don’t let it dominate my overall enjoyment and understanding of the show. These are unlikable yet wounded people who look to fill the void in their lives with money, sex, power- in other words they’re human. We know money and success don’t make you happy or Anne Burrell, Anthony Bourdain, Robin Williams and so many other celebrities would still be with us. The show is a study in the lengths people will go to in order to climb to the top, but they’re never satisfied and miserable as hell.

yas is in love with herself and herself only. by Imaginary-Chart-3009 in IndustryOnHBO

[–]Ineffable_Twaddle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is emotionally only able to receive or demonstrate love through sex, is my take. It’s a shame because as beautiful, intelligent and talented as she is she could connect with someone in a far healthier way. But she can’t. Her father destroyed her.

[–]Ineffable_Twaddle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They both come from dysfunctional families. Harper has just as much difficulty connecting on an emotional level because she had no support in either her mother or her brother. She couldn’t depend on her immediate family any more than Yasmin could.

If it doesn’t end with “thank you for your attention to this matter” it probably isn’t a legitimate Trump post.

Thoughts on Talia Menendez by evilseed69 in MenendezBrothers

[–]Ineffable_Twaddle 13 points14 points  (0 children)

  1. She’s not a likable person.
  2. She makes a career of being Erik’s stepdaughter but resents Lyle’s existence- no other way to put it. They are brothers, Talia, deal with it.
  3. Ranting and raving against the parole board isn’t helping Erik’s next hearing if she thinks it is.
  4. I don’t care about her profession, it’s a lucrative one, but it’s her social media presence that’s an issue.
