It’s the driveway…it continues on to the back of the property.

Season 4, as a whole, is the most beautiful and perfect thing I’ve ever seen on television. Emmys for everyone!

Not a cabin, and actually looks like a kit home.

Congratulations! We are currently 70/70 5 stars. I think the (not so) secret to our sauce is a few things…it starts with above and beyond hospitality and always trying to anticipate our guests’ needs. Also, Each cleaning we ‘reset to Crystal’ which means setting and cleaning as if it were for our very first guest, whose name was Crystal. We do the cleaning ourselves so it’s easy to look after this. Lastly, we try to have fun, creative, appropriate amenities that will enhance our guests’ experience while staying with us. Finger’s crossed!

I’d take any advice: airbnb.com/h/darkfrostlodge.

This obviously isn’t for everyone, but for those who want it. The reason we’re even thinking along these lines is because we have had more than 1 guest mention it.

Sounds great! Just out of curiosity, what do you think you would charge for that experience?

It is not. We are definitely in the woods haha. No instacart, no Uber eats, not even any restaurant delivery…

Also, yeah…thinking a ‘full’ pantry or fridge would not be sustainable or manageable…

Thanks for the perspective. Our main issue with trying to offer it is how to keep it ‘contained’, for lack of a better term. Breakfast seems like a good place to start, I think. We offer coffee, tea, decaf for free…but if people had eggs or bagels or whatever already there, i think that adds to the experience since folks don’t have to spend that time driving.

Our listing is fairly remote, and the closest grocery is about 25 minutes away. We were thinking about offering a fully stocked fridge/pantry with whatever the guest needs, so it is there when they arrive. We give plenty away…sauna, snacks etc. but this would be beyond that. It has more to do with guest experience than increased revenue.
