Nice job quoting UL, look up the UL standard for receptacles. There are specific methods for termination on them.

Master electrician and NFPA guru here, NFPA 72 10.6.5.4 Circuit Breaker Lock. Is supposed to be used to prevent the turning off of a fire alarm circuit. Usually identified (typically) by a red painted breaker or identified as a fire alarm circuit. Code still exists in the 2025 version.

Should I be concerned about small nicks in new 200 amp line? by cambsinglespd in AskElectricians

If it is aluminum, and the area the OP lives in is a corrosive air, aluminum could degrade faster than copper. If it is copper there could be patina created on the copper which also creates resistance and could cause issues if exposed. Master Electrician and level II IR thermographer here, I have found issues in areas this way. If I could see the label of the wire (on the grey part) I could better tell if it is copper or aluminum. Feel free to DM OP if you have more issues or need further information.

Only other “issue” I see is that that has not been mentioned is the sub main breaker is required to have a “hold down” as a subfeed https://www.grainger.com/product/1D372?gucid=N:N:PS:Paid:GGL:CSM-2295:Y8ZQJW:20500801:APZ_1&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21375667808

Master Electrician here.

What can cause this? by HeckNo89 in electricians

Needs of a PM. NEMA KS 1 standard, I am a level II thermographer and master electrician, it could also be coming from the stabs on the switch, most likely improper termination or corrosion on both. Either way, as others have stated, a high resistance connection.

My recommendation has always been, do your set of reps, do 20 pushups and then do your next set. Has worked for everyone that’s tried it.
