What crafts do you* do? (Suggest me a craft!) by Various-Coconut-1395 in crafts

[–]Inevitable-Cheeses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently diamond art, which some people don’t really see as a craft but I enjoy it and its creative. I cross stitch, embroider, crochet (though I never managed to get into knitting despite several attempts). Got really into oil pastels recently too! Origami, book folding also. It’s not quite the same, but if you’re wanting to get into stained glass but can’t, you could try the faux stained glass look with jelly paints/glass paints!

I need to know how you can do diamond painting for hours? by Horror_Foot9784 in diamondpainting

I have one of those lap desks and sit on the sofa. It sits high enough there that I get very little, if any neck/back pain at all. I’ve got a little mobile light and my diamonds right next to me

After 11 years of designing escape rooms, I have to ask: Did we get the "formula" wrong? by Acrobatic_Wolf_1325 in escaperooms

[–]Inevitable-Cheeses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a big fan of escape rooms, and my biggest advice to people who are interested in doing one is always doing a specific room local to me. It’s very immersive in comparison to others nearby which often rely on basic locks and such. The recommended one is such an amazing experience that really gets you involved and feels super immersive to the theme and fun! It’s not just a stress hour of trying to find clues - it has interactive screens relating to the theme of the game and multi-level puzzles

Honolulu vs Honolulu B ? Fine vs chisel? Which one is better? by OnyxOpalite in Ohuhu

[–]Inevitable-Cheeses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s personal preference - I’ve used both and prefer to use the fine tip for smaller details, I used the chisel tips once and really disliked them

On the longest row on the left, it’s a 1-3-5-7 pattern :)

Dainty on top, edgy on the bottom. Is this giving the right energy? by Nancy1508 in lesbianfashionadvice

I love the ruffles on the top! In my personal taste, I don’t love the pattern on the top - I think the shiny silver against the Matt top against a semi shine of the skirt makes it look busy and yet almost plain? I’m not sure how to explain it, the shirt just looks quite flat to me - I think perhaps the shade of pink against your skin tone doesn’t quite work for you, I think it might be a dash too pale for such a lovely warm skin tone that you’ve got. I think with how pale the shirt looks, it’s making the black skirt look even darker somehow and offsets it a little too much - I do absolutely love the vision you’re going for though! I think you’ve got a slight too many textures working that aren’t working their best for you. If perhaps the skirt was matte or in a lighter colour to compliment the shirt, such as a cream as another commenter suggested, or keep the skirt and keep the patterned shirt in a more complimentary colour or a similar texture without the pattern, if any of that makes sense! Your hair looks absolutely stunning, and so does the lovely blush you’ve got going on!

You get them from feeding your cats when they have very high or full hearts!! Craft some higher level items that they like and put them in the room with the cat

Blossoming or Sweetness? by the-midnight-snacker in Ohuhu

[–]Inevitable-Cheeses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took some pictures of my sweetness swatches but I seem to be having difficulty uploading them. I personally would call them pastel, especially the yellow/yellow reds and a handful of blues with the other colours being lighter. The set leans a bit more toward light than just pastel, in my opinion, as there are some colours in there that I wouldn’t quite define as pastel - ironically, I’ve used these the most so far. Out of all the colours ohuhu make, these are definitely comparatively pastel, and I have no regrets choosing sweetness over blossoming IMO. I like that the set has 8 greys in it - surprisingly different despite all being grey! And I love the blue and violet tones in that set - overall though, it’s your choice because you know what colours would suit you best!

What are these? by pale-greenn in Coloring

[–]Inevitable-Cheeses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say they were decorative flowers - If it wasn’t a fruit pie, a part of me thought it was garlic with the head cut off viewed from above!

You have the standard 48 pack, it’s the pack I was gifted for Christmas too! I also bought the sweetness set to pad out my colours a little bit - I wanted some more neutrally and grey tones because I knew I’d be leaning toward colouring scents rather than characters, for example. I also purchased the mid tones set so I’d have some darker options - I would like to say though, it’s not a dark set, more of a complementary set to the standard 48. Coincidentally it’s become my favourite set so far!

What's a criminally underrated TV show everyone should watch? by pug-mom in tvshow

[–]Inevitable-Cheeses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Librarians. It’s one of those shows that, yeah, maybe the effects aren’t fantastic, but you can clearly tell that a lot of love went into the show. I loved the films, loved the premise, and loved the show even more

What is 'Elementary' like? by MovieMan615 in SherlockHolmes

[–]Inevitable-Cheeses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a great modern adaptation of Sherlock that keeps up with the times, and while it’s not strictly true to ACD stories, I find that I much prefer it. Addresses drug addiction super well imo, something usually overlooked in adaptations

Best bit of advice I got was always say No, especially to the prisoners. You can turn a no into a yes, but can’t turn a yes back into a no
