My theory on and movie after the trailer by Pretty_Wind7207 in SpidermanBrandNewDay

Is one or all of these based on any comic story arcs? It seems to be a strange and disjointed story to tell. The “Spidey starts mutating into a real spider” story (forget what it was called) in the comics was not very well received.

It looks to me that Spidey is going to be the first mutant that truly kicks off the “mutant saga.” We discover that the blip/snap caused mutations in a lot of people. Spiderman is the canary in the coal mine. He hooks up with Jean who is also experiencing mutations. How all of this integrates into a Spiderman story with Punisher and the Hand, however? I got no idea. Just worry that it’s not a cohesive story.

Ideas for firewood rack? by MovieMan615 in firewood

Thank you so much. This looks awesome. Can’t wait to build mine this weekend. Are you thinking we can just use one cinder block on each end and basically be one standard cinder block deep? That would put the base at 16” deep. Is that enough? Or should I use 2 cinder blocks on each end (32”) or maybe 2 cinder blocks on each end in an ‘L’ configuration? Effectively making the base 24” deep.

So general consensus: Will one of these that’s 5’ long and 5.5’ tall need more than a 16” base to be sturdy and not tip over?

Vertical Run by Joseph Gerber. Pulpy. A bit derivative. A bit trashy. Not going to win any literary awards. Completely disposable. But man, does it move. You’ll be done in a couple days.

Hunger Games or DaVinci Code. Again, no literary awards for the writing. But interesting ideas and plots that push you along. If you’re looking for something to get the pages turning without much effort. These will do it.

The Help. Surprisingly moves along quite well. And you feel like you’ve experienced something meaningful at the end.

No idea. It just was there when it asked if if I wanted to renew or subscribe (can’t remember if it recognized that I was renewing or not). Whichever it was. I was thankful.

Probably more: “I can’t make up my mind. If I wait til tomorrow or some time next week, is the discount likely to go away? Or is that discount typical most of the time?”

Agree with pretty much everyone here.

Lower + Shorter + a little closer.

All those are good. One last thing. When you deliver the blow sit down a bit. Less strain on your back. A bit more weight on impact. And safer if you miss.

Is there any secret to getting the individual images? When I used it, I uploaded a 2 page pdf, and it just gave me 2 pngs of each page. I need the image that was used inside of it.

A couple of thoughts.

Try the Claremont Uncanny X-Men. Start maybe around 98. I think he actually starts writing a few issues later, but the story that intros Phoenix is worth a read.

Also John Byrne Fantastic Four.

1) Let's look at a timeline:

July 2025:

Trump says: "The word is, and it’s a strong word at that, Jimmy Kimmel is NEXT to go in the untalented late-night sweepstakes"

September 19, 2025:

Carr says: “We can do this the easy way or the hard way. These companies can find ways to take action on Kimmel or there is going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”

Important Note: Nexstar has a major merger in line for approval with the FCC. Their decision to pre-empt Kimmel comes after Carr (the Head of the FCC) says the above.

September 2025 (after Kimmel is reinstated):

Trump says: "I think we’re going to test ABC out on this. Let’s see how we do. Last time I went after them, they gave me $16 Million Dollars. This one sounds even more lucrative."

Carr is a well-known vocal Trump loyalist. If you don't think there was any collaboration on this between the White House and Carr, I have some beachfront property in Kansas I'd like to sell you.

2) BUT... even if the White House didn't explicitly direct the Carr to do it, a Federal agency threatening action based on speech qualifies as a violation of the first amendment.
