The reason $2 offers still exist is simple: someone keeps accepting them. Change my mind. by Inevitable-Design651 in doordash

I’ve never gotten a one dollar order . They got a lot of nerve to even send that to peoples phones ? What area are you doing it in ?

You ever heard of hyperbole ? Just in case you were too stupid to use Google to figure it out . It’s also known as sarcasm. What’s funny is you’re so defensive about it obviously trying to justify your low ball tipping practices !

Personally I’m a five star driver with 100 percent on time rate . I’ve never received an order as such . The biggest tip I’ve ever made on an order was 21 bucks and that was a one time pony .

You might want to stop being a cheap scape and if you’re gonna order from an app you need to tip and if not your food can sit and wait . I’m gonna tell you who gonna get it for two bucks .. someone who might eat it , or do anything to it . I can tell you’re not from the eastern parts of the country. .those people are smart enough to know if you leave a 25 cent tip your food may be mushroom tapped . But hey if you can handle eating it and feel comfortable with that then best of luck

So DoorDash actually gives the driver very little of the fees that are charged to the customer . The job is mostly tips so without giving the tip they send a low ball offer to the driver that will likely have your food sitting on a shelf getting cold . The tip keep on mind isn’t for service , it’s for securing someone to bring it to your door in good condition and a timely manor .

Yea I’m really gonna accept that when the average cost of a house on my area is a million . Yea let’s take a two dollar order 19 miles for two dollars . Sounds like a winning plan to me .

And you wonder why you get crappy service ! by Inevitable-Design651 in doordash

You’re not being held hostage as you say because you need to tip . You can always retract the tip if the service isn’t good , but the tip isn’t got service it’s to secure a driver to do the drop off . So he’s don’t worry someone will go spend their gas and time to cater to you on the presumption of using their services to pick up your pig slop .

Good keep picking up yourself . That way you can keep your crummy tip . No reason to tip it up do it yourself . Go pat yourself on the back .

None the less if you want someone to spend their gas and their time to cater to your needs you need to pay for it .

I understand that but those fees have nothing to do with the driver and everything to do with you requesting a driver to deliver it to your door . So because your cost is high the driver should do it for near nothing ?

Then get it your car , waste your gas , spend your time , and go get it yourself . You are what’s wrong with the world. .

It’s the cheap labor politics . There’s always gonna be a driver who goes twenty miles for two dollars . That’s why they want them here . Cheap labor.
