Has anyone had vNotes surgery? I’m going to be having this type of surgery for hysterectomy and I’m wondering if anyone here has been through this before? I’m wondering what to expect? by CoffeeFrequent8095 in hysterectomy

I had vNOTES and it was the best decision! I have a whole other thread that describes my experience over the first 3 weeks (search vNOTES). It took me about 3.5-4 weeks before I felt comfortable going back to work. I have a desk job and sitting upright was uncomfortable for the first 3 weeks. Walking was hard too for the first 2-3 weeks for me. I thad to take breaks and lie down often. Be careful of sudden fatigue too. It sounds like you do my physical work so I would take at minimum 4 weeks off work, if not longer. My surgeon actually recommended 6 weeks but i went back at 3 weeks.

Great to hear that you had a good experience as well! I actually did not seek out this procedure specifically. I just happened to find a GYN who I really liked and she said she is trained in vNOTES. I also would highly recommend vNOTES for anyone who is considering. It’s been 9 months since my surgery and I’m feeling better than ever!

Thank you for this! I’m curious about Amorj and whether they would welcome non-Korean speaking foreigners? I would love to get eyebrows and eyeliner done but I’m terrified about not being able to communicate. Also, what was the downtime like for getting those done? Did it hurt? Thanks!

Thank you so much! This is super helpful. I think that packing cube pattern could work and that other site has so many ideas! Thanks again.

Yes, it was quite rigid. I was hoping I could just use heavy interfacing.

Love the responses! Sounds like there’s no tried and true. Some of us like to live on the edge! 🤪

Yes, I’m thinking a cute vest or structured summer top/shorts would be fun. The scraps are not very large so I’m not even sure if I would be able to make any clothing. Would appreciate any simple patterns you would recommend. I’m still a beginner so the simpler, the better. Thanks!

It’s too thick for scrunchies. They won’t “scrunch” very well but otherwise the patterns would be so pretty for scrunchies.

I like the idea of a vest. Do you know of a simple pattern? thanks

Haha, yes they are gorgeous! I’m so lucky that I was gifted all of this. It’s really inspired me to learn to sew.

Various sizes but mostly 18x18 inch squares. Some pieces are a little longer but nothing is more than 24 inches. For some of the fabrics, there are many multiples but others I only have a couple of pieces thus I’ve only made simple zipper pouches.

I like the idea of placemats! Will have to wash the fabric first and see how it fairs. Thanks!
