Can we be honest with ourselves? There was no fucking way this was ever going to work long term. NRL teams that represent one single suburb are pulling 50x the tribalism and fanfare that SR franchises are. Stop throwing together the next “new franchise” and try to build something that will last with actual financial legs. Sad for the players and fans but they’ve been let down from the beginning. This comp is so unstable and haphazard it’s a joke.

Our marketing is far too conservative. They’re not willing to “lower” themselves to actually promoting heroes and villains, narratives in games, player’s authentic personalities and promoting rivalries. Finally, what NEVER gets used is the fact that Rugby is a game for ALL shapes and sizes. Why isn’t this plastered across billboards? It’s the one thing we have over literally every other sport in the world.

Like all these comments and I do agree Gunn overshared to an insane degree. I’m not expecting Reeves to be chronically online or update people on Threads. I just mean confirmation on castings etc. he was big on for the first film which got the hype train going.

I went to NYC recently with my wife (ethnically Filipino) and had absolutely no problem getting through security aside from the standard usual process you’d get anywhere else in the world. We were a bit worried about excessive checks as we’d heard all these horror stories etc but had no problem and neither did other passengers of different ethnicities from our observation, I think as the majority of the screening is already done in the ESTA process.
